Good Morning Calif.............

Today is Sunday, my day off and yet, I am heading into work. FOR DOUBLE TIME!!!!

Thank you all so much for the best wishing for us on our walk yesterday. We had a nice time. Even if DD was unable to complete the walk, she tried, but only made it about 1/4 of the mile, before she just had to much, and got a limo ride back to the finish line. (golf cart) But she still got her hat and wore it with pride. She looked like a dork, but don't tell her I said that...lol

My friend and I did the 3 mile walk. It was a very slow walk. Took us over an hour to complete. There was about 1000 folks that with close to 100 dogs. The walk was so slow becuase they did not close off traffic. WTF??? Anyway it was fun. And what a great day for a walk in the park.

When we got home, I riped up the carpet and cleaned the floor and laid tiles. I had never done this before, and thought how hard can it be?? OK it was its moments, but really its not that hard. And my floor LOOKS GREAT!! Check this out, I got my peel and stick tiles that look like wood, at Pic and save....Or as we now know it, Big Lots. Now I need to go and get a message, OMG my back is killing me. LOL I still need to have the carpet tac'd back down.

Good morning Lu and Cali Board,

I am glad you had fun yesterday. I am proud of DD for making it 1/4 of a mile. I bet your new floor looks great. I did not know that Big Lots used to be Pick-N-Save. I will have to tell my Mother she loved Pick-N-Save.

Well yesterday I went to Tracy to a Red Hat Event. We bowled backwards. I have to tell you I can't bowl frontwards or backwards but we had a lot of fun. On my way home I stopped at Dress Barn in Manteca and bought a couple of outfits. There was another lady who had bypass surgery about 6 months ago and had lost 75 lbs. She said she wanted to look like me eventually. That was nice.

Today is housework and I am going to have my DH take some "after" pictures. Well I hope everyone has a great day. Don't work to hard Lu!

So glad you had fun at your walk yesterday and good going to DD for giving it her best.  Way to go.

We had a wonderful Nor Cal Luncheon yesterday, and wonderful mix of friends waiting to begin, just had or celebrating as many as 5 years of their WLS journies.  So much experieince and support in that room yesterday it was amazing.  Our group just keeps getting better each month, and a HUGE thank you to all of you who make it that way.

Today my sister and brother-in-law will arrive from Canada and spend the week.  We're looking forward to having Christmas in September with them.  Supposedly we're supposed to have some rain today but I'm not convinced!

Good Morning Lu and Cali Crew,

I'm having a lazy morning so far. Which I love. Enjoying a good cup of coffee, and watching the Cowboy's football game, and they just got a 62 yard touch down. Not much on the agenda today. I have my lunch all ready to go for work this week, laundry is done. So I'm good to go and veg on the couch all day. Although I really should work outside in the yard. Especially, it is cool out and cloudy. Best time to do it. I keep hoping it will rain. I know I'm crazy, but I like when it rains, just a little bit. I'm not into it raining everyday. Had a good time at the North Cal lunch yesterday. We have such a great group of people. Lots of new comers, which is awesome. I just wish that we could have a big round table, in stead of a long one. Having a round table just makes it easier for everyone to get to chat with each other, but oh well, in a perfect world. Hope everyone has a great Sunday, and a wonderful week at work!!!!
