Hello Everyone!

I hope that everyone is doing awesome! I am doing pretty good especially now that I am off from work...it has been a crazy last couple of days and today was just absolutely horrible.  I had to deal with one young teenage girl that was just so rude and disrespectful towards me, but thats okay she received punishment that was necessary!  Anyways its the weekend and I am sooo happy!  Today my mom was trying to call and get a hold of someone at Kaiser Fremont because she received a call from them yesterday to set up her time to meet with her surgeon and she was have no success all day yesterday.  So I call and not even after two rings the lady who scheduled my appointment answers the phone! I was so happy lol!  I told her that I was calling to confirm my appointment on September 29th and I also asked if it was possible that my mom come with me on that day and be seen at the same time since we both are going for the surgery and she said that it would be better to just schedule us different times but for the same day probably for conifdentiality reasons. So she said that she had October 6th open for us both to come down together and we'd just be seen at different times for the nutritionist and possibly be able to see Dr. Dutta together! I am so happy that we are able to go down there on the same day so that it will make it easier on both of us having eachother to drive with rather than alone!  That means that I have one more extra week to try and get some of the weight off! I am hoping and praying I get atleast most of my 10 percent off.  I have lost close to 7lbs since Sunday so we'll see :) I am going to try and elimante diet pepsi's totally this week!

Hope to hear from all of my friends on here soon :)

My sister and I had the surgery on the same day and we had all of our appointment together. At the same time. I think the doctor liked us being together because we asked more questions that way. And we even had the surgery on the same day. She was before me by one hour. The Doctor would NOT let share a room and even had us on different side of the hospital, and told us we had to go and WALK to see each other. Smart cookie, dont you think?

Good luck to both you and your mom.

Hey Desiree -

Good luck with getting off as much as you can, it will make the process move along a lot faster.

My mom went with me for support to all of my appointments, it was nice having her there.  Before you know it you will have your date & start the new chapter of your life.

Desiree,

How cool is that?  So glad you and your Mom and share your journey's together. It's not too hard to not do the carbonated beverages, I gave them up about 6 mos before I had my surgery so it's been over 2 years since I've had a soda and I really don't miss them.  Now take away my ice tea and someone will get hurt!  LOL

Congrats again,
Barb

Desiree...

I agree... how cool is that!!?  That extra week will benifit you in the end totally!
I got rid of diet soda/pepsi/cheapcrap before orientation, which was and has been great. I was a 2 liter a day and more and guess what... no headache when I quit. I swore I would get headaches from no caffine.. and I did not at all... but.. I do drink tons of water... so I think that helps and made a difference.

October 6 I will be having surgery... so  I will remember you... and really I do... I think about others... more than I do myself....

Blessings to you andYippie...  your mother... is this not the best!!! It is happening for YOU!!
