Well, I just finished writing my life story for the past month and POOF - it has disappeared into thin air, just like that.

I am still here just crazy busy with things at work and home.

In a nutshell:

I am working 10 hr days, bringing work home on the weekend and just want to kick back when I get home.  To think we hired a new guy today and should be hiring close to 10 more in the real near future.  I may end up working 12 hour days now.   LOL    This is when I wish I was still on hourly pay.
In the last month here is what has gone on:

I think I had a seizure at a concert last month.  The neurologist does not think so, but to be safe I am having an MRI and a EEG tomorrow.  3 years ago I did have a seizure so we are doing the MRI this time just to see if it picks up something that the CT Scan did not.  Back on 3 tablets of seizure medication a day and that will change according to blood work.

My daughter has been in 2 car accidents within 1 month.  No one hurt, just damage to her car.  I literally just got her car out of the shop on Friday for being rear ended (only bumper damage) for her to turn around and get T-boned Tuesday evening on the drivers side.  No one hurt but she was pretty shook up.  Now I just need to wait on the other party's insurance to schedule the work.

My son blew the transmission in his truck (The Red Dragon).  Trying to fix it would be like putting lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig nonetheless.   LOL  He bought his 1st vehicle Saturday - 07
Tahoe.  Now if he can just find a career type of position rather than personal trainer at 24 hr fitness.

Our dog of 16+ years finally let us know on Sunday that he could no longer be our best friend and that he was tired.  We put him down Sunday evening and will be bringing his ashes home tomorrow for his final resting place on my night stand.  He slept on my side of the bed.  i rescued him in 1997 when he was a little guy and he ended up being a big guy that grew up with many, many kids in baseball, football, boy and girl scouts.  We are just heart broken and continue to look for him when we get home.  After doing a major furniture moving, furniture vacuuming and house cleaning I hope to get his smell out of the house as it is driving me crazy.  We sure miss our Sam.

I also have a hernia and am scheduled to have surgery on 10/25 or 10/26.  Just need to figure out which hospital has the time for the surgeon.

Aside from all the above, I am stabilized with my weight.  I play with a few lbs. up and down, but I can live with it.  I am in a size 18 which pleases me to no end.

Well, I just wanted to let you know I am here, just lurking when I get the chance to see what is going on.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a fabulous weekend.

Annette

Hi Patsy,

Thank you for your kind words and prayers.

I just left Lakewood Regional hospital for my tests scheduled today.  Had I known earlier she was there I could have at leat popped in to say hello.  Nonetheless, I will pray for you and the family that your mom gets stronger.  Is she thinking of doing dialysis?

Take care and again, thoughts and prayers all around.

Hope to see you at the next coffee.

Thanks Annette and Elizabeth. She had dialysis today. she is still not that great maybe it take a few times to help. she is still in ICU and didn't want to see anyone today. I think she is getting very depressed. I will try to be at coffee this month.

Annette,

I am so sorry to hear you are going through so much.  Sometimes it sure feels like when it rains it pours.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that the clouds in life will part and rainbows will peek through for you.

Try to stay positive and hold on to the things in life that really matter.

Hi Barb,

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.  For us it is always "When it rains, it pours".  Has been this way for years and years.  My hubbys family calls me chuckles because I just keep laughing and moving forward one day at a time.

Rainbows would be wonderful right about now.

I agree that I have to stay positive. As for things that really matter that would be our jobs regardless of the hours working and the people would be my family.

Your daily quotes are a huge help to keep moving forward.

Thank you for being so positive.

Hi Annette.  Sorry to hear of all that is going on in your life.  Sounds like a lot to deal with.
It is great that you can maintain/lose on your WLS journey with all this going on.
Wishing you better times ahead.

Thank You Terry,

It amazes me as well that I am able to maintain because I have always been a stress eater.  Knowing that I can only eat so much is a plus, otherwise I would probably put 50 lbs on quite rapidly and I don't want that to happen.

These things will pass and I/we will move forward as always.  Head high, chin up, laughning.

Thanks again.

Annette,
I am so sorry about your dog. I lost mine in July and it was horrible. I did get a new puppy last month and that helps, but I keep calling her Teaka and  her name is Gracie!

You have had so much going on. I know it is hard to deal with it all and work such long hours. I hope when they get everyone hired that things will slow down for you.

Congratulations on maintaining your weight loss. Going up and down a few lbs is normal for everyone, even if they don't need to lose weight.

Hang in there!
