Ready to start
It's Sunday, had my surgery on Tuesday, and I'm tired of the liquid diet! But, I figured out some ways to shake it up a bit, so I'm still going at it. Really, I'm just tired. i feel better today than I have all week, watching some football, and working on my computer. The only really annoying part of this is having a drain in my side. I think I would be doing better mentally if I didn't have it, but it comes out on Wednesday. My weight on my surgery date was 268.8, my weight this morning was 263.4, but more importantly, my blood sugar has stayed stable without meds. It has been between 125 and 140 since I left the hospital, so i'm looking forward to being diabetes free soon. My blood pressure has been really good too, so I'm seeing improvements already. My ankles are alittle swollen, too, but I don't think enough to be concerned about.
I was worried about the protien and was drinking a lot of isopure the first few days, and today the isopur is making me a bit nauseous, so I'm sticking with water and crystal light mostly today. I think I need to concentrate more on fluids than on protein right now, at least for this first week.
Thanks for all your prayers, they seemed to have helped, and i'm looking forward now to a speedy recovery!
