Good Morning Calif......

This weekend was great fun. I worked a few hours on Saturday, but was home by one. I spent the rest of the day doing not much. On Sunday I done more the nothing stuff. I did BBQ some ribs. I done them on low heat, by putting heat to oneside of BBQ and the ribs to the other side, I cooked them like 3 hours. Can you say YUMMY. They where so tender. I hope that I can eat them today. Some time left overs don't work for me. Yesterday, I went to my friends and they BBQ's chicken, and ribs and veggies. DD made some ranch beans and we took them over there. We had a great time and with the weather cooling down, we had a wonderful day sitting outside and chatting. After we got home we watched the movie... "Dear John" OMG that movie is good. If you have not seen it, go to the "Red Box" and rent it. It gets two thumps up from me.

So what did you do over the long weekend it? I know this weekend was the Disney Land 1/2 Do anyone run/walk in that? I really wanted to, put when I went to sign up for it, it was full already. I guess I waited to long. I hope that I remember that for next year.

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Lu, sounds like you had a yummy weekend.  I did a little bit of everything and enjoyed it all.  Got to go to the Cal Game on Sat, and the Bears won and in the process did a LOT of walking and the Berkeley hills are a challenge but I kept up with no problem.

Took a nice walk yesterday morning with DrJudi from OH and my neighbor.  Picked a ton o'vegges yesterday and even learned to can!  Made salsa from our tomatoes and peppers. Then to our neighbor's house for dinner.

Back to work today!  I hope everyone has a great day.

Morning Lu and Cali,

 I had a wonderful weekend!!  got to travel all over So Cal and see friends and family.  DH and I had some wonderful time together @ the car rally.  Did some dancing under the stars and driving too!!  Now it is back to work for two days and then vacation.  Hope I can concentrate for two days!!

Good morning Lu & the rest of Cali,

A busy yet restful weekend for us here in the IE.  Saw Gabriel Iglesias on Friday night.  He was just great as usual.  Didn't get home until after 2AM. Frankly Saturday, we did absolutely nothing.  Mike and I actually kept taking naps on and off all day.  I felt horribly guilty but enjoyed every last second of it.  Then Sunday we did a bunch of running around and ended up at the Starbucks in Redlands that we always go to and then my car decided not to start.  It's the same problem that has been going on for some time and no one can seem to find what is causing it.  So we literally had to leave the car there until evening.  Fortunately a wonderful friend of ours came and picked us up and brought us home.  Then we waited until around 7PM and went back.  Had some dinner out first and then the car started no problem.  Yesterday we ran out to the mall as Mike needed a new suit and found a great deal at a store that was closing.  Then it was back home and did some straightening up around the house.  Did get a little 2 hour nap thrown in for good measure.

Today it is back to work and busy busy.  Nothing big planned for the week really.  Just alot of work here at the office and at home.  I have a tax return at home I must get done by the 15th.  It will probably pretty much take up most of my time next weekend for sure.

Anyway, got to get busy here.  Loving the cooler weather that has come in today. I might just feel up to taking a little walk at lunchtime.  Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning,

Last day off, then back to work. Why does your time off go by so fast. I had a fantastic weekend. My friend Heather was here again. We had so much fun catching up. We went down the Scottish Highland Games, and walked around. I couldn't believe the amount of people that were there, and we were there early. Finally got to see some Highland Cattle. My sister and I tried to get a picture of them when we were in Scotland last year, but no luck. They are pretty cute and really furry. Poor things even had there own fan to help keep them cool.
   I had an open house at my place on Saturday. It was nice, lots of laughs. It is always nice to hang out with good friends. Of course there was enough food to feed an army. Luckly I was able to give some away. I would hate to waste it. Not much else going on around here. Just relaxing and enjoying the cool breeze coming in the window. I'm ready for fall to get here. Sorry folks, its my favorite time of year. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day!!!!
