CONSTIPATION
Hi,
If your consitipation is really bothering you then my suggestion is that you call Pacific Bariatrics and ask what your options are. Also, constipation is pretty common after the surgery, especially if you had this problem prior to surgery. I take a stool softner each morning and night and also a capful of MIralax. My GI doctor recommended the Miralax.
Wishing you the best.

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they
ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Each Surgeon recommends something different so you may want to call yours and ask how to remedy the situation but my doc has us do miralax everyday benefiber,
Now for the problem at hand, my doc reccomends dulocax suppositories they work fast ( stay by the toilet!) but call your doc and find out what he/she wants you to do :-)

Drink more water and take a stool softner. I take 1-200mg colace and 2-100 mg colace per day,
You don't want to take an exlax type as there is a difference between a stool softner and something that 'makes' you go. If you take the latter type too much your bowels can become dependant on them to eliminate. I still take a softner 1 year out. Caffienated drinks (coffee/tea) will cause constipation as well
