The 9th is my one year surgiversary! I can't believe it has almost been a year already. I will be in Las Vegas with my Mother during the week so I thought I would post now. I have learned so much this past year. I have learned that I don't have to eat myself sick when I am under stress and things just are not going well. I don't need near the amount of food I was eating before my surgery. I can survive without all that processed sugar! I do need to improve my exercise though.

I am so grateful for this surgery and for all of the wonderful people I have met on this website. Life is good and I am a very happy camper! I have lost 117 lbs in one year. I know it is up to me to keep it off.

I just want to thank all of you for your friendship and support!

Thank you Jean, it really has been quite a year. I would not trad it for anything. Well the thing with  my sister I would like to  have done without! This trip is going to be much smoother. Wednesday we go to guardianship court to have the new guardian added. Their won't be the stress of the last trip. I am flying too and that will help. Thank you again! Have a great week.

I've enjoyed watching your progress over the last year.  You really have worked your tool...Weigh to go!!  I remember those early struggles you went through...All those questions here on the Cali Board.  I also think it's cool that you've become a experienced pro (an old timer...in a good way), and you're able to give back to the newbes here on this board.  Thanks for sharing.  Brian

Thank you Brian! I have appreciated your advice and your sense of humor! This has really become my home away from home. I like being an old timer! I love sharing my experiences too. I can honestly say there is not an age I would want to go back too. (and that is not just because of my WLS) Life really does become richer as we grow more mature!(I am not sure that is the right word. LOL!)
