Excited to hear about WLS without 'extra' fees

I heard today that Dr. Jossart is leaving his current group soon and will both accept more insurance and not have the program fees we all see with so many practices.

I was planning to go through him, even with the $5750.00 fee ( in addition to insurance deductable and share of cost $3000) but it was seriously going to ruin my  credit and max me out financially, leaving me no room for any emergency funds.  I was hopeful that my car wouldn't break down, none of my teeth would give me trouble and my house wouldn' t catch fire for the next 3 years, while I paid off my debt with interest.

Now I feel blessed to have decided to do this just in time to not break the bank.

Believe me I will not appreciate my DS any less if is costs me 3k instead of 9k!

Now I am hoping for my DS in early November...I was already approved by Blue Cross but now I may need to get the paperwork modified.  I will call my BC rep  tomorrow to find out.

Dana, do you know where he's going, and what kind of practice he hopes to have?
And also, it would be great if you would post any info on the DS forum as well as here. Thanks!

Larra,

I posted this and a little more on the DS forum.  I will post updates once I get the letter all of the details.

I did get my money back from Lap Assoc, no problem.  I told them I would be staying with Dr Jossart, even after his move.

Thanks, Dana! And I'm glad they did the right thing and refunded your money.

What does it explain?

1) When you call the main number, it says to Press 1 for Jossart and 2 for Cirangle (or maybe it's the other way around). That's new. (And weird for a group practice)

2) A lot of staff changes lately after a year of staff stability
