On my way to the hospital
Thanks for the advice Deb! I was afraid of constipation :(. I tried the Greek yogurt with a little of the cheesecake pudding mix. It was very good... but for some reason today any dairy doesn't agree with me. I had to go back to clear liquids. My tummy has been messed up all day. Now I I went back to clear & I seem to be ok.
Kris made me the birthday cake drink with water, but I think he used a little to much water. So, far I really like the About Time protein drinks.
I keep progressing a little everyday :)

Hi Michelle,
I'm so happy to read how well you're doing!
I too couldn't do milk post-op and had to switch to Muscle Milk Light or Oh Yeah ready to drink. For me it was the lactose in the protein powder that gave me violent runs until I figured it out.
I still don't do milk, I use soymilk. But I can easily tolerate cheese, yogurt etc.
Take good care!

Yeah, I had milk issues prior, but I wasn't even handling soy milk.. so strange. I tried cottage cheese this morning, all good so far. I guess everything will be trial and error ;). I had my husband get me some muscle milk, but he got the wrong one ;(, he got the diet one which only has 10g protein. Don't have the heart to tell him, but we need to return it & get the right one. I just can't fathem the thought of drinking 8oz for only 10g of protein. My mother in law suggested mixing 1/2 scoop of another protein powder to boost up the protein & not have to return them.
Michelle,
I love reading this post of yours because I feel like we are living parallel lives. You had your surgery exactly 1 week before me with the same surgeon. Which flavor Muscle Milk did you get? because I got malt and it was NASTY...omg nasty. I threw it away after 2 sips.
Glad to hear that you are doing well, I hope you don't mind that I kind of stalk you a little bit.
