The news is saying today is going to be very hot, so please please keep your water close to hand and drink it. Remember that the fur babies, can over heat pretty easy, so make sure they have fresh cool water.

So Steph and I had a wonderful weekend of doing nothing and all the other stuff we wanted to do. We did spend a few hours out at the pool. OMG! the pool was so nice, but dang it was hot. Yes I know, "but its a dry heat" and just for you all that say that, so is the heat in the oven. We went to the movies and watched Eat Pray Love, which was very good. Had me in tears a few times, but I am whimp. So that might not count.

We are already thinking of next year and where we are going. LOL Reno?? Could be.


OK so remember, its going to be HOT!! remember to hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrete.

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

So glad you had a wonderful time with Steph, relaxing and doing all that you wanted to do.

It's hot up here in Nor Cal too and you're right about staying hydrated.

Work week for me with back to school tomorrow.  It's a busy time in HR when summer and back-to-school time are here so we look forward to a little breather once school starts.  Wishful thinking, there's always lots to do but that is what is so satisfying at the end of the day, getting some of it done.

Hello Miss Lucky.  Yes, folks from now on I'm not calling her Lusty Lu.  Her new name is Lucky Lu.  I'm telling you, this woman is Queen of the penny slots.  No matter where she sat she would always come out ahead.  Me on the other hand, not so much.  The only time I won anything was when I decided, that was it, I'm not giving them one more of my dollars.  So Lucky says, here take this $20 of mine and play.  Guess what...yup...you quessed it.  I won.  Her $20.00 and I won.  My $20.00, no win.  Oh well, I won by having a great weekend with a great friend.  Now it's on to the planning stages for next year's Annual Girl's Weekend Away.  We talked about Vegas or Reno or Lake Tahoe.  Maybe even just Palm Springs.  Who knows.  As long as I go with my buddy Luana it's sure to be a good time.

Well back to reality now.  Time for work.  Miss a day, have that much more to do the next.  Hope everyone has a great day.  Try to stay cool and drink your water.  It's gonna be a scorcher.

Lake Tahoe is beautiful! It is the most beautiful lake I have ever seen. It is fun too.

Lu and Steph I am so glad you had a great weekend. I like the part that the oven is hot too! Hot is hot!

Barb I am so happy that you enjoy your new job so much. I think the world of you and you truly deserve such good things in your life.

Well today I am gong to lunch with some friends in Madera and then we are going to visit one of our Red Hat Ladies that is in the hospital. Then home to do some cooking. Thank God for air conditioning!

Lu and Stephanine, glad you had a fabulous weekend. It is so nice to get away especially a girls weekend. Today brings more work for me. I'm working an extra shift, but I don't go in till 11am. Which is nice, get to have a bit of a sleep in. I was hoping they wouldn't need me, it always seems like a good idea to sign up for extra at the time, but when the time rolls around, I then wonder why I did that. Oh well, the money will be good. Not much else going on in my world. Just having a coffee, watching the Today show. I hope you all have a fantastic day.

I'm glad to hear you and Steph had such a great time. I went to the Nor-Cal Luncheon and met so many wonderful women. So full of support and encouragement! Lake Tahoe would be awesome! You can definitely count me in!!!! I could sure use a dip in a pool right now, it's 105.
