1 Year Post Op
Today I had my 1 yr. post op with Dr. Ali (I just love this man).
Blood work all came back great. I have lost over 100 lbs in a year. I still have not hit wonderland but it will get there. I mentioned to Dr. Ali that if I never lost another lb. I am good with that. His reply was that "you must be in a good place"
I am so extremely busy with work and seminars that I don't get much time to visit here on the board
We went to see Styx at the OC Fair on 8/6 and I collapsed on the guy in front of me. My hubby thought I was wasted and being sloppy. Yeah Right, 2 small margaritas I don't think so. Personally I think I had a seizure as I had one 2 years ago. Now I am on Dilantin 3 pills at bedtime. i also have a hernia from my gallbladder surgery. Ughhhhh - More Surgery? Hopefully the surgery can wait a while. Not exactly thrilled about seeing a surgeon from Lakewood Regional as they almost killed me 2 yrs ago when I had my gallbladder taken out. Nicked my liver and 30 days in the hospital.
I am so very busy with work these days as the owners are doing some serious traveling at the moment and attending any and all Fred Pryor Seminars I can get into that I feel will benefit me now and in the future. Currently considering taking some college courses, but I want to do it all online w/o having to step into a classroom. The only problem is that I will not be able to get a degree that way unless I do something like University of Phoenix and that is just extremely expensive (Highway Robbery). I'll figure it out.
Well it's midnight and I need to go fold and put laundry away so I can go night, night. I have a Employment Law Seminar in Long Beach tomorrow all day.
Hope you all have a fabulous Thursday.
Keep smiling, people will wonder what your thinking.

Hi Annette,
It doesn't seem like a year has gone by yet! You are doing great. Congratulations.
For online classes, check our your local community colleges. More CC's are starting to offer online courses that go towards a degree. Univ of Phoenix and a lot of those other for profit schools are a rip off and these places are not well regulated. I have some insight into this because of my job. Even if your local CC doesn't have online course another one might and I don't think it matters where you live.
Take Care!

Thank you everyone for your congratulations and words of encouragement.
Ms. Blues, thank you for having an insight because of your job. There are so so many things I would like to study, but for right now, I am holding off due to finances. My daughter did not qualify for financial aid so we are having to foot the bill right at the moment along with a couple of unexpected costs. Hopefully by Winter/Spring Classes I will be able to decide what I want to study so I have some clue what I want to be when I grow up. LOL
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
