support groups in the East Bay area?

Thanks mshelf3, I appreciate the tip about the blood work.  I will make sure to request copies; the last thing I need is any hold ups because something wasn't sent to the doctor.

My starting weight is slightly under 300 pounds.  I fully expect to have to do a pre-op liquid diet, I just hope it's not 2 weeks like some...UGH.  I know the liver needs to shrink though.  I guess I will find out for sure what the requirements are when I meet with Dr. Morton.

I live in Pittsburg, work in SF, my daughter is starting middle school in El Cerrito in September and my parents live in San Leandro.  So on any given day, I could be found all over the Bay Area.........lol.

It's good to know there are so many support groups available in the area.
