New in Cali

Hi
I am in the Bay area and looking for a support group for lapband. Also, I need to find a new doctor to do my followup care with. Any suggestions or help would be great

Hi Jodi,

Dr. Legha is in Mountain View at El Camino Medical Group. He performs many of the WLS in our area. They also have support group meetings once a month. if you're interested, call his office. He doesn't have the greatest bedside manner, but his support team are wonderful including his coordinator Susan and his nutritionist. I hope that helps!

I live in Santa Cruz, but I commute to Los Altos, just south of Menlo Park, for work.

I'm Marie and live in Sacramento but just wanted to welcome you to the Cali Board and extend an invitation to join a group of us from the Cali Board for a luncheon in Concord which should be pretty near you. I know there are support groups at Stanford, but I don't know if you have to be a patient to join in. There is also a good system at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, near Los Gatos, if you don't mind driving that far.

Welcome to the Cali board. What a difference from Henderson to the Bay Area. I hope you will join in on our post and feel fee to post anything you want. We are a great bunch of people!
