Good Morning Calif......

Its Saturday, and I don't remember when was the last time I was on the computer. So I guess I need to go back a few days.

Thursday was DD Loma Linda appointment. Nothing new to report there truly. IF she can keep her blood pressure under control. She should be ok. We well keep a close eye on everything and go from there. There was some changes but nothing to big or "remarkable". I would not want to be in her shoes. Knowning that she has the problems she has. Like she says, She feels like a walk time bomb. No fun shoes to be in.

Steph did come and meet us for lunch. And we had a great time chatting. DD says as we where drove away. WOW! that was so relaxing, and she was right.

Friday I went and got my tattoo finished. I love how it turned out, and will post pictures when I have the time. I sat around visiting with everyone at the shop, and didn't get home until after 4 and then I need to get my stuff washed for work, and get my lunch cooked and all that stuff. Thats about it for me and my past couple of days off.

This weekend I work, so nothing there to talk about. But what about you? what do you have planned for the weekend? Lets hear it.

Good morning Lu and the rest of California,

I have one question, what the heck am I doing up?  I've been up for a half hour already.  Hellooooo, I should be sleeping.  I'm guessing though, that I will probably go back to bed for a little "nappy time" in just a bit.  My back hurts so badly after being in bed for the night and it is just waking me up early everyday.  Once the pain eases up, I'm able to go back to sleep.  So that is my first plan for today.  Take a nap. 

Glad DD enjoyed our lunch on Thursday.  And even more glad she found it relaxing.  That is what she needs.  She just needs to try to stay relaxed so she can help that blood pressure stay low.  I know how hard this all is for both of you.  BUT, it's almost Laughlin time for me and you. Then DD will have the house all to herself for a couple of days and you and I will have fun frolicking in Laughlin.  Yes, I said frolick.  We are very good at frolicking.  So I'm thinking if we do go to the movies while there, what about seeing that new Julia Roberts movie.  I know I will never get Mike to go see it and I really want to.  So it's either with you in Laughlin or I'll have to go myself.  But of course, we'll first have to see if it's playing there and if you want to see something else that is fine too.  I'm good with any movie really.  I can't wait for our weekend away.

No major plans here this weekend.  My son and I were thinking about going to Disney tomorrow, but the poo is going out with friends tonight and probably won't get home until quite late so he'll be in no mood for Disney on Sunday.  Mike is in "chilling out mode" so not sure what he wants to do, if anything.  I have one more week of "retirement" before it's back to the grind so I want to make the most of it.  Hmmmm...maybe I can sleep for the next week.  LOL

OK, time to get something to drink and hopefully go back and get a couple more hours of sleep.  Hope you had a good day at work Lu,  Everyone else have a really great Saturday and a wonderful Sunday and hey IE people, don't forget about our coffee in Redlands next Saturday.  See my post down here on the page somewhere and I'll repost it again during the week.

Hi,
Ok... my plans for the weekend.  Taught a wonderful Glamour class last night, so 1st thing is the bank.  Then visit a friend who is here in SCal from NM, haven't seen her in 6 years. Then pull together jewelry to match dresses for the trip to Dallas on Tuesday and start my packing... maybe a little shopping, too. Oh, yes, and get on the gazelle & work out.  And the best of all... rest.  Been a busy week getting ready for next week.  Have to do the before catch up so nothing is missed while I'm gone.... forgot I have to brief my DH on the business end of things so he can handle the office while I'm gone, too.  Details, details.... mmmmm.  did I forget anything?

I'm sorry I'll miss the Redlands coffee as I will be returning that day from Dallas... maybe next time?  Love to meet everyone in person.

Good morning Lusty Lu and Cali Board,

Happy Birthday to me, happy birthday to me!  I am 52 years young today. You know there is not an age I would want to go back to. I love being in my 50's. Today I am going to the Gallo Center in Modesto to see a production of The Music Man. My friend is taking me for my birthday. We are going to brunch beforehand. It is one of my Red Hat Ladies outings. I get to wear red instead of purple because it is my birthday month. I wear a purple hat instead of a red one today. I know we will have a great time.

Well that is  my plans for the day. I hope you all have a great day!

Oh Steph, I woke up at 4 this morning. YUCK! Nothing good is on TV at that time in the morning. i went to bed a little earlier so I woke up ealier. I just don't seem to need as much sleep as I used to. 

Happy Birthday Elizabeth, hope you have one heck of a fantastic day!!!!  Enjoy your play and brunch and your purple hat!  LOL

First, a big Happy Birthday to you Elizabeth.  Have a wonderful time today.  I love live theater.  Having grown up in New York I went to shows on Broadway often.  Mike and I try to go here in San Bernardino every few months depending on what is showing. 

I have learned that if you wake up before 4AM you can find things on TV ... after that .... infomercials and that is it.  Yuck.  I did send an email to a friend at 5:30 and he wrote me back asking me   what the hell we were both doing up at 5:30 in the morning.  There were alot of us up for sure.

Again, have a wonderful day and celebrate hardily.

Thank you Steph! I love live theater too. We saw Cats in L.A. when that was playing there and Phantom of the Opera in San Francisco, but I have never been to New York and would love to see a Broadway Play.  I also go to plays in the area when I can.The play today was put on by the Yes Company, which is the youth program through the Gallo Center. I tell you it was wonderful. It had kids from elementary school through High School and these kids were so talented. They get voice, dance, and acting lesson through this program. It was very professional. They do good work with these kids. I am tired though, 4 a.m. was a long time ago. I also bought some white peaches at the farmers market which was on the side street next to the Gallo Center. They smell good so I know they will be.

Oh, I ended up watching Haven which my DH had DVRed. It is a new Sci Fi show and it is pretty good. It is based on the Colorado Kid by Stephan King.

Not much planned here today, a trip to Costco and Smart and Final with my mother-in-law and other than that we don't have too much planned thank goodness.  I'm sure there will be regular chores etc but just looking forward to a little chill time!

Good Morning Everyone!!
 I have nothing good going on this weekend as usual, LOL Im just going to try and clean up the house some, Hubby goes back to work today so im hoping he remains feeling okay (crossing fingers) so it will be easier to clean since hes not home, I just have to get the energy first, LOL, Im sure sometime this weekend I will go shopping, i need a new pair of capris!!!! mine are getting to be too big and falling off my butt, such a nice feeling!!!
