Good Morning Calif......

Not much going on with me. I have had the past 3 days off. Monday was spent at Loma Linda. DD's appointment was at 10. We got there at about 9:30 because she had to fill out some papers. They never bothering telling us that they where runing behind. BY 2 HOURS!!!! After 11 DD asked what was going on, and was told they are running behind. At 10 minutes to 12 I asked was going on, Once again told they where running behind. So I asked if they where going to go to lunch before taking DD back for her appointment. I got a dead eye look. I told them that if something was not done soon, I would file a complent. About 3 minutes later they came and got DD. The nurse told her that they where never told that DD was there waiting. I over heard the nursing saying this and asked what did she mean by that, that we had been here since 9:30 waiting. She looked at the girl sitting at the desk and told her she had better get her act together. The nurse told us how sorry she was, but they where told that DD never showed up. The girl told the nurses we showed up at 1130, so the nurse checked the sign in board and told the girl  that she would be speaking to Ann. Who ever that was. The test that DD had done took anothing two hours, so I more then enough time to wonder around and get lost. I did find pateints right and made my complent.

Tuesday, Cyndi came over and we ran 3 miles and then relaxed at the pool the rest of the day. Then yesterday, I spent most of the day resting and watching TV. I am getting my tan on for Laughlin. LOL

Ok time to get some coffee and shower and get moving for work.

sorry you had a tough time at Loma Linda.

I have been very tired this week, went to see JT and Carol King on Monday night and cannot seem to recoup (guess I am getting old!!).  I am working on the road this week to boot!  Oh well at least I am working.

Sounds like a crazy day for you and DD yesterday.  I'm so glad you filed a complaint.

Yesterday was a good one for me, I had my first formal claims review with my workers' comp insurance company and that went very well.  My boss and I went out to lunch afterwards, I so enjoy working with/for her and am learning SO much.

Got my hair done last night (thank goodness) and then had a great night's sleep.

Well, today brings work and then going to San Francisco to pick up my Step Mom who will be spending the weekend.  I am going to take Monday off, so I will have 3 days off..

Hey Lusty Lu sorry about your day at Loma Linda. I hate waiting so long and then to find out it was someones incompetency.

So Barb and Delores how was the concert? I bet it was great! I hope you feel better Delores. Have a fun weekend with your Mother-in-law, Barb.

Today I need to do housework. I spent a few hours with the grandkids yesterday so I did not get anything done here. Time with my babies are more important anyway, we are making memories, well for me anyway. They are pretty young to remember.

I wish you had called me on Monday.  I would have come over at least and hung out with you.  Dang, call me next time.  I did spend the morning with my son but was home by a little after noon.  Yesterday I went over to my friend Valerie's beauty supply shop in Yucaipa.  It's a nice little shop.  She sells all environmentally safe products, plus sells wigs and does ear piercing.  She's also now decided to put in a hair dresser's chair so she can do hair.  She is licensed but hasn't really wanted to do that, but so many people are asking her for that service, so she feels that as long as it's her shop, why not.  She got permission from the landlord to run the water lines that are needed and now just needs to get the permits and someone to do the work.  I really can't wait until she's all set up and then she can start doing my hair.  Color and cut.  Today I am off to get my materials to teach the tax course I'll be teaching for 10 weeks.  Yes, me...teaching.  That's a joke don't you think.  LOL  But it's only two, three hour classes a week for the 10 weeks, no big deal really.  Then I'll probably work part time for Liberty Tax during tax season.

Lu, I'm so sorry you had a horrible time at the hospital. I don't have the patience to sit there like that. I'm glad you filed a complaint. People like that should deal with the public.

Today, I'm going to go and hang out with a friend at the pool. I have to say I love my house but miss having a pool close at hand. I think that is about the only thing I liked about living in an apartment. The complex I lived at, 4 of my coworkers live there too, so it was fun. We would hang out at the pool and BBQ. I miss that. Not much else going on. I really need to clean and do laundry. My washer had a part recalled, so I wasn't able to use it until it was fixed. They came yesterday, so I guess I don't have an excuse anymore. I hope you all have a great day. For all those working, don't work to hard.

Lu- sorry to hear about your ordeal with poor service at Loma Linda.  I hope something good comes out of your complaint.  Good for you for running.  That is something I really need to start up again.

Cali- Things are crazy here at work, but I guess I should be greatful to have a job. Yesterday, I was so stressed out (personally/professionally) that I had a good cry at my desk.  I did not care who was watching; I need to release some tension.

Lu, I would have lost my mind having to wait that long. I am not a patient person to begin with. I am glad you filed a complaint. Being passive won't change a thing.

I am dealing with my mom's passing away and will for awhile. I had a huge jolt last night. I allowed a friend of my cousin's to stay at my mom's house while I am cleaning it out. She is staying there rent free. I told her I'd be over anytime during the night or day to clean things out and go through my mom's items. Well she took it upon herself to go clean out cupboards, take my mom's artwork off the walls and bundle up my mom's framed photos and other items she has on display. I was so upset. I wasn't ready for my mom's house to not look like her house. She rearranged furniture too and never asked if she could do these things. Also, I wanted to do these things on my time line, not someone else's.  I cleaned out a bedroom, bathroom, the fridge and pantry so she could fully move into these spaces. I had no idea she thought the whole house was hers to rearrange and put my mom's things in boxes.

Needless to say, she's not staying there any longer. I am still feeling upset today.
