Hello OH world.. wow. this site sure had improved.. I have not been on in forever!.. But I am back.. I am going to hold myself more accountable and continue to make this work.

I had surgery about 6 years ago and never made it to goal and now a good 40lbs has found its way back to my butt.. geesh..

Newbies.. its NOT a solution.. its a tool.. dont ever forget that..  and yes even with running a few half marathons & maintaining an active lifestyle including somewhat regular exercise.. the weight has found its way back..

I want to be a resource and provide what help I can.  so if you have questions.. or just want to say hello.. feel free..

Have a great day.

Hi!!! I'm back too.. My surgery was almost 4 years ago and I strayed away from these boards about 2 years ago. I guess I thought I was going to live a "normal" life eating normal foods...I've lost over 200lbs and I realize I will always be a WLS patient and need to live my life embracing this.. Not hiding it. Glad you're back!

Me too!!! I have a 30 lb. gain now that is taking me back into the overweight category and I'm really scared that the gain will just continue. I'm trying to get back to basics too but it is super hard!!

I've got your back my friend! Love you!!!

Throwing kisses at you.   So nice to see you.  We are getting together in San Bernardino this Saturday night at BJ's for dinner.  Maybe you can haul out this way and join us.  See my post down the page.

As for weight gain, well read my response to Helen.  It just all sucks.  It's so hard now to get the weight off.  Just like before surgery.  I can't stress to the new folks enough, that WLS is only temporary.  If you don't change your old habits during the first couple of years, you WILL gain your weight back.

Oh well, try to come out on Saturday.  It would be so wonderful to see you and get some Stacie hugs.  We miss you so much.

Love ya much,
Steph

Hi  So good to see your smiling face.  Us old timers know exactly what the weight gain issue is all about.  I let myself go up almost 100 pounds.  Yea, I'm still down 150 pounds from my all time high, but geesh....why did I let this happen?  I have started to get control of it but let me tell you, it is freaken hard.  Every pound lost is a struggle.  I've lost about 19 pounds put it's taken almost 2 months to do that.  Unfortunately, life is very much back to what it was before WLS.

I came back here to try to find the support that I now know is one of the most important aspects of this entire process.  If you look down a few posts, we hare getting together this coming Saturday night for dinner at BJ's in San Bernardino.  I know it's a long trip for you, but think about coming on out.  It would be so wonderful to see you.

Back to work for me.  Busy day as usual.

Hugs,
Steph

Part of the reason I STAY on this board is that my inner fat girl is just sitting and waiting for me to let her eat and being accountable here and supporting others, keeps her at bay (a little)

Hi all,

I too am finding that at 2.5 years out the weight is starting to creep back on. I need to really get back to being on this site on a regular basis. I really miss everyone and really need the support and also giving suport were needed. Just like it has been said this is a "TOOL" not a fix all. U have to put it to work.

Live everyday like there is no tomorrow!!

WOW! It is so good to see you all!

The weight comes back so easy. I have never reached goal, always about 30-40 it. I have gained 5-10 lbs here and there, but realize it and get back to basics. It is so hard. Right now, I want to work on getting the last 30-40 off!!! :-(
