If your pain is caused by constipation, our doctors recommended stool softeners. I used them for the first 2 years or so.  Nancy

Stool softeners and Miralax, or Milk of Magnesia.  The stomach pains are probably trapped fecal matter and gas;  the sooner you get it out the better you'll feel.

Walking is probably a good thing, too.  Helps to restore the bowel movement necessary to move the material along.

And drink a lot of water, too.

I take a 250 mg stool softener 2-3 times a day and I am 9.5 months out.
