I want to wish everyone a happy 4th of July. We are so blessed to live in the wonderful country.

Today will be more unpacking at my mom's new apartment. We have everything in and are just finishing the unpacking a have to put things on the wall. It is such a cute apartment. I think she will be happy there.

So what are all of you doing today? Have fun!

Happy 4th to you and everyone else Elizabeth.  You are correct when you say how truly lucky we are to live in this great country of ours.  Even when things seem to be their worst, we are still so much better off then many other countries.

Today brings a pool party sort of.  Just Mike and I, my son and our friends who have a heated pool at their house.  That is the kind of pool that works for me.  I'm just getting the chicken ready to BBQ.  When I managed a BBQ restaurant for 6 years in Florida, my boss showed me how to make the best BBQ chicken and ribs at home when you don't have a smoker and you don't want to burn the chicken on the grill.  It always comes out moist and delicious.

So to everyone else, hope you have a wonderful day.  May your BBQ foods come out great and may your fireworks be safe and beautiful.  Be careful everyone.  HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

Happy 4th of July to you too Elizabeth!!! We're just spending the day at home and will have fireworks this evening. I already have the crockpot full of chili colorado and I have some chicken marinating for a teriyaki stir fry...a little bit of everything for different tastes.

You're right, we are so very blessed to live in the USA...I can't think of any place else I would want to be :)

Elizabeth,

Happy 4th of July to you too.  Best of luck in getting your Mom's place all set up.  Travel safe home.

We're having our neighbors over for dinner and then fireworks from the front porch.  Nice and relaxing, thank goodness.

Hugs,
Barb
