Hello from New Mexico

 Hi Everyone,

Just thought I would pop in real quick to see what is going on here on the boards.  I arrived safely and am staying with my dad.  There is always some kind of drama when I stay at my dads so needless to say I will not be doing this again for a long, long time.  The center of it all is my 1 full blooded sister and this just may have strained our relationship all together.  

Other than that can you believe that the only person that has commented about the amount of weight loss is my 96 year old grandmother?   LOL  That woman shrank another foot I think but she has a great mind and lives alone.   Maybe the reaction to my weight loss will be much different when I get to my moms house tomorrow.  I know that my stay there will be wonderful as it always is.

The weather here in Clovis, NM is hot, humid and then we get rain, thunder & lightning in the evenings.  I have been helping my dad out around the house a little and even helped him with some of his fruit trees last night.  

I went to the base with him yesterday and got a great deal on some votive candles.  Cheaper here than in CA and no tax, even better.  We will be going to the commissary in the morning probably as I have a dinner date with my niece/God daughter shortly.  I am not eating exactly well because I have not gone by a market.  Dad said he had plenty here at the house and that is not so.  Before i leave for my moms I will pick up some yogurt, chicken, cheese, diet cran juice and bottled water to take with me.  Good thing I brought some jerky, ostrim sticks, and a few protein bars to make up some of the protein I am not getting.  Tomorrow will be much better.  I will have a car to drive and can go to the store and buy what I need.

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying their day.  Not sure if I am going to have internet access at my moms house, but if not I'll talk with you all soon enough.

Hi Annette Iam sorry that you have drama right now. I know you were looking forward to this vacation.I hope that your second half goes better. I can't believe no one said anything about your weight loss. Keep cool and have a great time.

Today was better spent with nieces, and great nephews.  Tomorrow will be even better as I get to see my mom and school mates.  

Can't wait to get home, I miss MY FAMILY.  Did not think I would miss them this much, but the support that comes from them is awesome.

 It is very hot here in Las Vegas. Luckily no humidity. It is all drama here. I am emotionally exhausted. We have a lot to get done today. We went to my Mother's new apartment yesterday and they told us she may not be able to move in until Friday or Saturday. I miss my family at home too. 

I hope you have a great time with your mom, Annette and I hope every comments about your weight loss. It feels so good. Oh my dad told me that I was not ugly but I was too skinny. I told him you have such a way with words. He later apologized and said that did not come out the way he meant it too! LOL 

 Drama is the pits!  How could they not note what an incredible year you have had with your WLS?  There are people in all of our lives who just don't "get it."  Those of us here know that you are amazing and continue to inspire us with your generosity and humor!  Glad the rest of the week is looking up!
