Good Morning Calif.......

Yappers Dappers, its friday and I am OFF this weekend!! YAH

So yesterday at the meeting, nothing good was to be heard, I swear, I wonder how we all keep our jobs, we never hear any thing good, its always bad and its seems everyone has something bad to say about the clerks. Dang, I know, that for myself, I work my behind off. I never get to just sit around and tell jokes like some of the nurses do. It always make for a very depressing day, and yesterday with the new boss, nothing was new. Oh well, life goes on and I have a job.

So this weekend, I have a bbq to go to on saturday, and I might have to work a few hours, no more then 3 that is for sure, I have plans. Nothing yet for sunday or monday, but that movie "Grown Ups" come out and DD and I want to see that. So we go and see that. It looks like it will be funny.

Tonight I go and get the color added to my tattoo, I can wait. The color is going to make it pop that is for sure. I will post pictures tomorrow.

OK time to get moving and start my day. I would love to hear what you all have planned for weekend, so let me hear.

Good Morning! Sorry your meeting was so disappointing, but it is really typical that the worker bees get blamed for everything! It sounds like you have a nice weekend planned though.

This morning we are going with my Son, DIL, grandkids, and my DIL's parents are going to Hilmar to the Gallo Cheese Factory. After our tour they will help the kids make ice cream in plastic bags. Then eat lunch. Ryan will love making the ice cream.

Tomorrow I will leave for Las Vegas when I get up. I am very nervous about seeing my sister. I will be glad when we get my Mother in her new apartment. I hate confrontation and she is very confrontational.

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Lu sorry your meeting wasn't a good one.  I just don't understand why managers don't understand that being positive and managing my example is a wonderful motivational tool and I do Human Resources for a living!!!  I will PM you a great poem by Maya Angelou to share with your boss or just to post at your workstation and maybe someone will get the hint!!!  In any event hope you have a great weekend.

Elizabeth, I totally understand what you mean about confrontation.  My guess is your sister knows how to push your buttons.  My suggestion... don't let her engage you and don't allow yourself to be alone with her if possible.  If she does engage you, let her do all the talking and ask her if she is done, and then say I am sorry you feel that way and walk the other way.  This works well for me in those tough confrontational situations.  I will say prayers for you and your family.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Tomorrow is the Nor Cal luncheon and I am SO excited to see everyone.

Here is that poem.  I've used this in many managment training sessions I've done and I think it sends a powerful but subliminal message.  Hope you enjoy it too!
