Good Morning Manic Monday

Good Morning Calif......

Its Monday Morning and I am up and moving, sort of. LOL

So yesterday, I BBQ some ribs, OMG! they where the bomb. They so rocked and I had the whole rack on the BBQ and my sister who lives across the street, called wanting some. I also cook corn on the cob, and onions. The star of the night was the ribs. They where slow cooked (over 3 hours) and so tenders.

Today I need to clean house and get my stuff washed for work. It going to be a slow lazy day. I hope. Oh but my niece just closed on her new house and she got the keys, so DD and I might drive out there and check it out. She is so happy and proud of herself. As is the whole family.

Steph August would be best for me becuase I already have to request time off in Oct for the Long Beach Marathon. So I am off the weekend of 7th and 21th or the first weekend in sept. (4th) Let me know

Good Morning Lu and Cali Crew,

I did a lot a running around on Saturday.  It started with me having to tow Baby to the mechanics shop for a new battery (thank goodness it wasn't worse) and an oil change. Then some errands on both days (and a little retail therapy too).  
Spending a little time with family always helps too.

That is the story of my life.

Good Morning Lu and all of California,

Mmmmm Lu, I can just smell those ribs.  Now you are making me want to make some.  I managed a BBQ restaurant in Florida for 6 years and I learned alot about making BBQ.  I must say that I make some killer ribs & chicken.  I may just have to do that this coming weekend.

So as I stated in other posts, I had a wonderful weekend.  It was wonderful catching up with some old friends and it was so great getting to meet a couple of new ones.  We really had a lovely morning of talking and laughing.

I hope everyone has looked at my post regarding the July Inland Empire Dinner.  We want alot of people to join us. 

Lu, I will check out which dates are best for me (need to see what the "old guy" has on his schedule) and then I will see what's going on in Laughlin and which weekend will get us the best rates.  I was looking at hotels last night and I'm leaning towards Harrah's.  They are probably a little more expensive then some of the others, but they are the one with two pools and one is an adults only pool.  They are also the hotel with a beach.  Not that I want to get sand on me, but it's nice to know that is available.  I'll let you know what I find out and which weekend is best.  I just want to clarify though, the two weekends you have off, is that Saturday and Sunday or Friday and Saturday or Sunday and Monday.  Let me know girlie.  Love ya.

I had a nice weekend too. My DH BBQ steaks for my sons birthday. He turned 30 on June 11, but we cooked dinner for him on Sat. We had a nice time with him and his family. Sunday I went to Applebees for lunch and then to see Bye, Bye Birdie at the Playhouse Merced. I was able to get a 4 oz steak. It was really good. Today I am meeting my Red Hat Group at Sizzler for lunch. That is who I went with yesterday. Today is our regular monthly meeting.

This afternoon SmurfSmurf is coming over to talk about her surgery. It is next week. I am going to be her Angel. I am really looking forward to meeting her. We talked Sat. night on the phone. She is really nice.

Well as for me, I got my Water Slide rental business up and running this past weekend.  My first rental was on Saturday and I had another on Sunday.  What a work out to clean and roll the water slide back up.  It's worth it though for the extra money and exercise.
