Hello my name is Lisa and my daughter Nakita is on her 2ND Crap Band and we are looking into a revision to the sleeve. This is the doctor I just received a referral for for her to see.

Have any of you been sleeved by this surgeon?  Dr. Philippe J. Quilici

I tried to get a sleeve with him, but he insisted my insurance wouldn't pay for it. So, he did my RNY.

He has a horrible bedside manner, but his surgical skills are very good. He'll harangue you about exercising at every single visit.

His staff is, ummm, inconsistent.

But, I would have surgery with him again in a second. He knows what he's doing. He's published tons of journal articles - he's developed some laparoscopic techniques they all use now. You really want someone with lots of experience.

He's a surgical genius and a jerk. But you'd take your car to a mechanic who is a jerk, right. If he gets the job done right the first time?

I know someone who went to him for banding over her RNY. No other doc would touch her.

His associate, Dr. Tovar is great. I see him for most of my postop appointments.

Good luck!!

I hate jerk doctors and I have a "*****y" side of me that won't allow any doctor to treat me with disrespect.  When I was younger I let jerk doctors get away with being jerks, now I call them on their crap instantly and shove it right back at them.

I jsut had my rny done by Dr. Quillici on Friday I was referred to him by my primary physcian who stated he was simply the best! At my pre op appts. he never came across as a jerk and was very nice and answered my questions. During my hospital stay I was seen by Dr. Mcvoy who is an associate of his, she is GREAT! .....

That was nice and quick. With both of my band surgeries I was in 3 days.
