One tinny step closer...

The suspense was killing me..  so today I e-mailed the therapist that did my psych evaluation on Wednesday and asked her how long it usually takes for her to submit her report to the bariatric department.   I figured what the hell I have nothing to loose, I'll probably never see her again.  The worst thing that can happen is she doesn't respond.  Well sure enough with in about 4 hours she responded and informed me she submitted the report to the bariatric department on Wednesday.   At least I know where in the "process" my approval is at !!

Soo... you know I just couldn't leave well enough alone & just e-mailed my surgeon...  ..  once again what's the worst thing that can happen....

Michelle,

My Mom always said "the squeaky wheel gets the grease".  I've never found a quote to be truer!  We always have to be more assertive when it comes to our health.  I used to work for a Dr and while he was a brilliant clinician, he was terrible at time management and often things would falter because of it.  Coupled with a poor support staff and you're really sunk.  So kudos to you for your perseverance and I'm sure professionalism!  As others have said, they will remember you and you will probably get what you want quicker.

Hugs,
Barb

Good Job Girl.   I beleive it shows them how dedicated you are to your health and new life.  I actually did the same thing.  I called all the time to see if there were cancellations or any other way I could get it earlier. You're on your Way!!

BTW.... I live just over the hill from you.

Thank you!  I so feel that way...  My husband said that's why he loves me.  When there is something that I want this bad I'm like a dog with a bone.. :)

I'm planning on going to the lunch at coco's in concord on the 26th.  Hope to see you there.
