I have a date!!!!!

My doctors office called me today, I have a surgery date!!!!! i was so shocked as we just submitted for approval last week! I will be having the gastric bypass on June 23rd!!! im so excited! Now i have to write a letter to my doctor explaining that i understand the risks of obesity, surgery, the expected benefits of surgery, etc etc, has anyone had to do this or could they tell me where to find an example? any and all help is appericated!!

Congratulations! Wow that is just around the corner. I had to write that letter too. Dr. Swartz is really good. Go to their website and print up the information letter. (They probably gave you one in all the paper work) Anyway I just wrote what was on that paper work. They just want to make sure you understand everything. I think it also covers their butt in case you decide to sue. (Now that is just my thoughts, they never said that.) When you go for your surgery take a bathrobe. They would only give me one night gown thing and it was so big on me that I tended to all hang out. They want you to walk a lot too. That is the only complaint I have about Clovis Community. If you need to tell them you want another gown. I was not aggressive about it. If you want PM me and I will send you my phone number and I can help you with the letter. Good Luck!
