has anyone found once they start to drink
I'm not a doctor Sherri, but I can tell you that it sounds like transfer addiction. You don't have food, so you choose alcohol. Think about when you were eating uncontrollably. You couldn't have just one cookie. You ate the whole box. Try to get yourself someone to talk to. A trusted friend, your doctor or a therapist. Or maybe even join a support group of some kind. Get a hold of this before it gets out of hand.
Probably a cross addiction. One woman in a support group I attended last night, had RNY some 5 years ago. She lost a lot of wt. and stopped coming to support groups. She had an issue with wine. She said she wasn't a "drinker" prior to surgery, having maybe 2 glasses of wine per year. But she ended up an alcoholic, and regained a major portion of her wt. I'd strongly urge you get help with your current issue, or your wt loss may be very disappointing. DAVE
