I've only been to the emergency room there and it's an emergency room.  They all suck.  But I do know someone who had their RNY there with Dr. Krahn and they were pleased with the experience.

You aren't generally in the hospital that long so hopefully it won't really matter.  I had my surgery in Garden Grove 6 loooonnnnngggg years ago and had surgery on Tuesday and was home by Thursday.  The hospital and nursing staff there was horrendous but you are in and out so quick you hardly have time to worry about it all.

well, personally, I'd like to go where i feel comfortable and the staff is nice and pleasant. It would make it for a better experience....

The reason why I ask about St. B's is because a Kaiser doc just signed contract with them to perform surgeries, and i can get my as soon as next month, instead of waiting at the Pac Bar facility. The only problem is, I can't find any information realy on this doc, except that they told me he was a UCLA transfer and has been doing surgies for 8 years...

I just am a little nervous, until  I have my consult with him I guess to get to know him....

Did Dr. Dave over in the classes in Fontana tell you about St Bernadines's , when we graduated in Jan of this year, they had not yet signed the contract.  The wait to go to Pacific Bariatric was only about 45 days from Graduation..
But if St Bernadine's had been an option I would have had mine there and especially if the doctor was from UCLA.  I know lot's of people who had theirs at UCLA and said those doctors were awesome.

I have a freind who had Dr. KRAHN do her surgery there, and she's happy with the results.  If a UCLA surgoen, with 8 years RNY expereince is available, then you'll probably be happy with the surgery. "Being happy" with the nursing staff--that's depends who's working during your stay.  Dave

I had my surgery at St. Bernardine's and they were absolutely wonderful. Dr. Krahn did my surgery almost 3 years ago. I have no complaints about that hospital and they took great care of me. Good luck to you!

Hey Jaime... thanks for the post... You actually know my sister, and the funny thing is I met you before.... ha ha... my sister is Cara Veizer(she had the surgery around the same time you did, I think) , and I've met you before your surgery at Chevy's at Ontario Mills... You look fabulous...

I've been asing  about St. B's and not many people have been there... I wouldn't have your same doc, but another doc through Kaiser... I am going to a seminar there on Thursday and probably the support group as well...

Glad to hear good things about that place... I didn't have doubts about the place really... more or less the doctor... just cuz no one has really heard of him...
