Good Saterday Morning

Good Morning Calif........

I know I have not been around much, but I think I will be back more. I have been working alot of overtime, trying to get the Fiscal Year cleaned up, before it ends, at the end of the month.

I have not been up to much, but work and running. I am training for Long Beach 1/2 Marathon. I am still not sure what got me to sign up, but I did, and so now I have to get real about training. Also DD is back in the hospital and been spending time at the hospital with her. She might be able to come home tomorrow. With some luck.

So what have you all been up to? And what do you have planned for the weekend? I am off to work in a few hours and we are having a BBQ pot luck, so I am taking hot dogs and buns, and the crock pot to cook them in. Well, its not like we have a BBQ at work, so we have to make do. LOL

Happy Saturday!  Lu so good to see your morning post, I sure do feel something missing when you're not here.  Please give DD my best and I will say prayers for her too.

We're working in the backyard this weekend as we've been doing for the past 3 weekend.  Getting more fruit trees planted, today will be an orange and a lemon (our 2nd of each).  I think we're running to the landscape center to buy a few items as well.  Then it will be shopping at Costco and who know what else.  In any event it will be a fun and relaxing weekend I'm sure.

Good morning Lu and Califormia,

As Barb said, so good to see your morning post Lu.  We've missed you.  It's been so quiet around here.  Not saying you are noisy, well ok, you are, just not alot of people hanging around is what I meant.

Sorry to hear DD is in the hospital again.  Hope she gets better and gets out and home real soon.

Now I need you to promise me something and you better promise.  If while you are training for this 1/2 marathon, if anything starts to hurt even a little, you will stop.  It's not worth the risk of hurting yourself seriously to do this Lu.  I know once you say you are going to do something your pride/ego won't let you stop, but in this case you MUST promise me that you will stop.  Do you promise or do I have to come over and sit on you.  I'll do that and don't think I won't.

Saw your post about coffee and I'm good for next Saturday.  I'll put a post up in a few minutes.

 As for me for this weekend.  My son is coming out around noon or so.  When he split with the girlfriend she took the couch.  I have a couch and a chair in storage so he's coming to pick those up.  I'll probably take him and his friend Nick out to lunch first.  Then tonight we have a party to go to.  That should be fun.  And that is about it for my weekend.  No plans for tomorrow.  Need to do some laundry, and straightening up in the house of course.

So, hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful weekend.  It's beautiful weather here in the IE right now, but I suspect as it did yesterday, it will get blisteringly hot in a few hours.  Everyone stay hydrated if you are outside and have fun.

Hey Lu,

I have not been around much either. This first year back at teaching has kicked my butt! And I was only away for 2 years! But, the school year is over, and this is the first summer that I can remember in my teaching career that I haven't had to work full time day care in the summer....yay! I'm hoping to buy a new car the end of this month, and then I'll be taking lots of road trips.

I'm off to do one of my candle shows this afternoon, and tomorrow no big plans. Next week I'm relaxing alot....(between workouts!) and am getting ready for two road trips the last two weeks of this month..One to Seattle, and the other Costa Mesa!
