hey J, welcome home. the next two weeks were the toughest part for me as i had the two weeks of full liquids and hated all the protein drinks. i think i already told you to mix them in  a shaker rather than blender to avoid whipping air into them. no room for air! but the days will fly by and you will be to mushy food before you know it and then it gets easier. and doesn't it feel great to kick anthem's backside! d

I noticed that you had stated you kicked Anthem's ass.  I am having a hell of a time with them.  I have been going through all the tests and pre-op crap.  I finally have finished.  I went in for the appointment with the doctor today.  I am beyond livid.
When I first went to the initial meeting I explained my reasoning for wanting the gastric sleeve over the Lap-Band and the gastric bypass.  I was told that Blue Cross would consider it with certain limitations.  When I had my first appointment with the doctor, I was told that it would take some coercing but that Blue Cross might allow the sleeve.
I have now wasted thousands of dollars out of my own pocket and was just informed by my doctor that she won't even submit for the sleeve because Blue Cross doesn't even consider it or acknowledge it.  I have spent the last hour on the phone arguing with one Blue Cross Idiot representative after another.  No one will give me a freaking answer.  I just want to know if Anthem Blue Cross even acknowledges the sleeve procedure?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What problems did you have with Anthem?  I want to know what I am facing.  I feel like I have wasted so much of my time and money to make it to this point and now be told by my doctor that she won't even look into it. Please help me.  I am going out of my mind and I am beyond depressed.  If I had the money I would have just gone the cash route.
