As Memorial Day Nears...

I happen to be born and raised on an Amy base. I am proud of my families service to our country and for any and all military people in any country. Some of our members are in the service or their loved ones are in the service. And i say thank you to them... And the ones who have fallen to give us the kind of lives we have.

It is the 
VETERAN, 
not the preacher, 
who has given us freedom of religion. 

It is 
the VETERAN, 
not the reporter, 
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is 
the VETERAN, 
not the poet, 
who has given us freedom of speech.
   
It is 
the VETERAN, 
not the campus organizer, 
who has given us freedom to assemble. 

    
It is 
the VETERAN, 
not the lawyer, 
who has given us the right to a fair trial. 


It is 
the VETERAN, 
not the politician, 
Who has given us the right to vote. 

 
It is the 
VETERAN who 
salutes the Flag, 


Happy, Healthy, and blessed Memorial Day holiday to all of you and your families.

AMEN! Thank you to all of the Veteran's out there.

Thank you to all of the military people out there, past, present and future, without you unselfish men and women, we would not be free to even post this.  Please remember, 'For all of our tomorrows, someone gave up their today',  Thank you again and God Bless you and God Bless America!!

PS   Someone should let Pres. Obama know that our, Presidents  always go to Arlington Cemetary on Memorial Day to honor our fallin soldiers, unknown and known as well, they don't go on a family vacation at that time. Very unpatriotic and tacky move!

I have been limiting my watching of the new. (and of course it was probably not on the regular news) but I had not heard he would not be attending Memorial Day services at Arlington. He does not have respect for our military or their families much less any other hard working American person. It is just awful!
