It goes with your everywhere you go. It is on display at work and at home. People around you are affected by it. It has no shape, color, or size, yet its impact on your life is profound. What is it? Your attitude!

Christine,

First of all, I must congratulate you on your weight loss success!  WOW!  You are an inspiration!!!

I know what you mean!  It is sad that we don't have the postings we used to and it seems that we've lost many people to other websites and forums.  Over the 2 years I've been on this website, I've seen differences of opinions and personalities drive people away or those that have felt excluded from this group or that group be a division of sorts.

From my perspective, I do Daily Thanksgivings to start my day on a positive note and to remind myself that my WLS was a gift and one that I cannot ever take for granted.  When I look for the quote each day, I reflect on where I am, what message speaks to me that day or if I've head or read something, what quote may help someone else.  I really feel the need to pay it forward and give support because it helps me SO much.  I have made some incredible friends as a result of my WLS and I know that we all have a common bond.  I could never imagine that my WLS would bring some wonderful people into my life, what a gift.  It's a gift that has and will continue to give for many years to come, in fact a lifetime.

I get such a fantastic feeling at both our Nor Cal Luncheons and visits with other OH friends I've made.  Each time we meet, we come from all corners of the Bay Area and beyond,  Our demands and life issues are left at the door and we seem to come together in camaraderie and friendship and to share this journey for a couple of hours a family of sorts.

So I hope that many of our "old timers" (not age related) will come back be an active part in making our Cali Forum a source of fantastic support and friendship!  That being said, I sure hope anyone reading this can make it up (down or over) to the Nor Cal Luncheons and meet some FANTASTIC friends.

Thanks for letting me join you in a "positive venting" and rally some support of the Cali Forum.

Hugs,
Barb

Been a while since I had time to jump on here...Facebook is just going to have to wait!    it's really that darn FarmVille...talk about cross addictions...sheesh  :-)

Anyway..today I am Thankful for:

knowing I can come back to this website and find support and encouragement plus some good sound advice.

being over a year out and still maintaining the weight loss....maintenance was the scary part of this journey...wasn't sure I could do it.

my hubby and my local support group...they have been here from the beginning and still cheer me on daily and weekly.

Can't wait to see everyone at the No Cal Luncheon..seems like forever since we met
