Good Morning Calif.......

Yesterday I spent most of the day doing nothing. It was a great day. My hike to The Devils Chair/pounch bowl was a killer. OMG the first mile was UP the mountian. Took us an hour to do just the first mile. But it was worth the walk. The veiw was out of this world. IF you have the change check out the The Devils Pounch Bowl and go for a hike. Or just take the kids up there the day. Ton of stuff to see and do with out walking up the mountain. I should have called Liz and had her meet us there, I think it was only about 20 mins from her house. LOL I will get the pictures online soon as I can. It's back to work today so I might work on them tonight.

So what did you do over the weekend? Did YOU get out shake your thing? LOL

God Morning Lu. Sounds like you had a great weekend. Where is the Devils chair/pounch bowl?

I had a quiet weekend. I got really sick after dinner Sat. and felt awful all day Sunday. Feeling much better now. I am going to the surgeon today. I have been throwing up to much lately. Yesterday I did some shopping and worked on scrap booking. I have recently started doing scrap booking. I seem to have a knack for it, which surprises me because I am not a crafty person. I am making books for my grandkids to have.

This morning I am going to walk to my son's house and watch the kids while he goes to the gym and then this afternoon we go to Fresno to see Dr. Swartz.

Oh I almost forgot, I got hit and run yesterday. I was in the lane to turn left and the lady behind me rear ended me. The light changed but the car in front of me did not move yet, but the car behind me did. I motioned for her to follow me and after we turned left I turned into the gas station and she went right on up G St. Luckily it did not do any damage. It really did give me a jolt though. I guess she probably had too many accidents already to stop.

Well I hope everyone has a great day!

Oh, Sweetie, I hope you are ok! Please keep eye out for headaches and stiffness. Even the slightest fender bender can bring on problems. I am so sorry that the lady just drove away, like nothing happened. That was inconsiderate and rude. I will pray for you, that you are ok. Just take it real easy today. Even on your walk to your son's house. You don't want to exacerbate any problems. I am so sorry that you have been getting so sick lately. Good job, on getting in to see the surgeon. My neice that lives with me now, has been putting together a scrapbook for one of her classes, as a senior project. shhh.... I want to play with all the cool things that go into making one of those scrap books! LOL... Take Care, Elizabeth. Soft hugs coming your way. ps, can't wait until I'm up north and I finally get to meet you!

I am so sorry to hear about your niece. To loose a child has to be the most horrible thing in the world and when it is a baby it is even worse. I think SID's can be up to 1 year old. I will pray for you and your family. I know her parents hearts are just broken!

I am doing fine today. I am just so grateful that no damage was done. The driver of the other car was young, I just figured that was it. Usually I would be spitting nails at her irresponsibility, but at least I have no damage. I was not able to get her license plate and all I remember was it was a small black 4 door car. I drive a Gold Toyota Highlander and there are a lot of them around so I figure her heart will skip a beat every time she sees one!

I haven't really rested today. I walked 4 1/2 miles and watched the grandkids this morning for a little while. My son went to the gym this morning. I usually would have them all day on Tues. but since I am going to the surgeon this afternoon he is keeping them. He has 4 days on and 4 days off and he likes to have one day to get his chores and errands done.

Well thank you for all of your hugs and concern. I am sending my hugs right back to you. Let me know when you go to Auburn.

Good Morning Cali Crew!

Its been awhile, so sorry about that. This weekend was actually a very nice weekend for me. On Saturday, i went to go see a "Battle of the Bands" perform at a festival in Glendora. Awesome, they had some very talented young people there. I also was able to spend some time with my family down the hill ( I always feel like the witch, from "Wizard of Oz", when I say "come down the hill  LOL). Took our time heading home.
On Sunday, DH and I also took another drive. I am the type of person who loves to get out and just drive, with no plan in mind--- just a "Let's Do It" attitude. It was a beautiful weekend.
Yesterday, was a bit of a sad day in the morning, because my great-neice on DH's side of the family, who was 10 months old, died last Wednesday in her sleep. The funeral was yesterday morning. We couldn't attend because it was in Michigan. But we did pray for Baby Lainey's journey. This had come as a huge sad surprise. They suspect SIDS, but I thought 10 months is too old for that.
Yesterday afternoon, brought my last hurdle before setting into motion my move to Nor Cal (Auburn, CA). I had a complete physical. It went really well! Doctor was happy and so was I. I will have to see my surgeon before I leave, but thats no problem. Now just waiting on reports to be sent to the school. Last night was the 3rd night of the San Bernardino County Fair, and I was able to see my favorite performer in concert, Uncle Kracker!! Tix was only $5! Awesome seats and an even better concert! I love his songs, "Smile" and "Follow Me".
Sorry to have taken up so much space. I guess I better start posting more often! Looks like not too many people are posting lately. I hope that changes, because I know if I was a "newbie" again, I would want to stay somewhere where there was a sense of community. Hope everybody has a wonderful day.... and looking forward to seeing everybody Saturday, can't make it Friday.

Huge hugs, love, friendship, & support always,

Michelle T.

Good Morning All,

Today is my last day off. I head back to work after being off for 20 days. It will certainly be a long day tomorrow. I'm having a great visit with my parents. My Dad has been helping me do a few things around the house, and my Mum has been helping me out in the yard. Today, we are headed out the the farmers market. I'm just hoping that the sun comes out first. Not much else going on around here. I hope you all have a fantastic day.

Good morning Lu and all of California,

Busy day for me so far at the office.  One of the girls called in sick and she had a ton of stuff piled up on her desk with deadlines for today that we had to scramble around and get done. Whew, busy busy.

So my foot is starting to feel a bit better since my little fall down the front stoop on Saturday.  It's still swollen and a lovely shade of purple and I still can't get it into shoes, but it's doing better.  Driving has been a challenge though.  Good thing when I learned how to drive years and years ago I had a habit of breaking with my left foot.  That little talent has come in handy this week.  I'm sort of ok gently hitting the gas peddle with my right foot and lifting it off the gas peddle as necessary.  If I had to break with my right foot, I'd definitely have a problem.  Good thing I only work 10 minutes from home.  Not a very long drive.

I definitely hurt myself in other places besides my foot though.  My hip is bothersome as well as my neck.  I think I got like a whiplash when I fell backwards.  What a dummy I am to be so clumsy.

Well that is about it for me today.  Got a ton of stuff to still do here at work.  No rest for the worker drones.  So on that note, hope everyone has a great day.  It will be a nice one here if the sun every decides to come out.  Right now it looks like it's going to rain any moment from the window in my office.  Time to close the door, pull the shades and take a nap?  Yearite.  Like I'd every be able to pull that one off. LOL  Have fun today, no matter what you are doing.

Stephanie
