Good Morning Calif........

Can you believe is monday already? Where did the weekend go? I guess I work right though it. What a drag. But only 5 days left until my Hike at Devil Bowl, and I can not wait.

So how was your mother's day? The pot luck at work yesterday was great. I love trying new foods and found that there a couple that are great and other I will stay away from. LOL  I tried one that I still can not tell you what was in it. LOL I was eat with Dale and Robert and they didn't have a clue either. Now that is scary. I hope that you all where able to enjoy your day and that you was able to spend it with family.

Barb.......That is great news about your new job. Congrats. What are you going to do with 16 tomatoes plants? I have one plants and 3 different herbs that is about it for my "garden" LOL I wish I could plant some squash, but have no room. Good luck with the garden.

Step...........How is your sister doing? Have they figured out what is going? You know I have her and the whole family in my thoughts. How was your mothers? Other then all the love I sent, did you get some thing great that you should give to me to hock?

Eileen........yesterday was YOUR day, you should have not been cooking and cleaning. Your lazy day on saturday should have been on sunday. I bet your a jumping with joy about your visitors day. I hope you enjoy your day and time with them.

Elizabeth.......It sounded like you have a very relaxing day planned, how did it turn out? I am happy you was able to enjoy your son phone call with out hunt or fishing brought up. LOL Did you youner son make it over and spent time with you all?

Good morning Lu,

I will be heading out to the airport in a bit to pick up my parents. Just doing the last few things around the house. Gotta make sure it is clean or they might talk about me LOL. The house smelled so good yesterday after I made my banana muffins and they tasted good too. It isn't a very nice day out so far. The sun has decided to sleep in this morning. I feel like I could put the heat on, I have goose bumps. YUCK.  I guess I should get myself moving and finish getting ready. I want to run to the grocery store and pick up a few things and get my Mum some flowers. I hope you all have a fabulous day

I had a low keyed weekend.  Saturday, I had a chiroprator's appointment and afterwards, I went to Santa Monica and hung out for a bit.  Sunday, I was planning on going to church but that did not happen.  I had to make a pit stop by my job then I went to Target.

The good thing is that I finished knitting the red shell (it will be on the blocking board tonight). I have started knitting a swatch for the matching cardingan.

Good morning Lu and the rest of California....

Oh boo hoo, Monday already.  I just don't know where the weekends go to.  Even having had an extra day off this weekend, it still seemed to fly by.  Now, of course, the week here will drag and seem like an eternity.  Oh well, such is my lot in life.  Guess I won't complain.  First off, at least I have a job.  I need to be grateful for that when so many others are without.  And second, if I complain, nobody's going to listen to me anyway.

So my Mother's Day was a very quiet one.  My son called me around 1ish.  He was on his way out of the office to grab some lunch.  Then he called me again around 6:30 that he was on his way home from work.  He really hates working Sunday's, but as with me, he won't complain because he's happy and grateful to have a job.  And he does have a good one. 

Mike and I spent the day at home.  I did some laundry and then watched one of my favorite movies, Funny Girl, on Netflix.  I really enjoy having Netflix on my computer.  I just stick on my headphones and watch whatever I want and it doesn't bother Mike and he can then still watch and/or do whatever he wants.  Makes for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.  I didn't cook dinner last night so that was good.  Mike went out and brought home some pizza.  Unfortunately, pizza is one of those foods that I play refrigerator roulette with and last night was not a winning night for me.  Just didn't sit well.  I think it was because it had too much oil on it.  Oh well.  At least I didn't cook it.

As for my sister, well she is still in the hospital.  They are getting things under control slowly, although the collitus is not cooperating.  They are pumping her full of steroids (which have helped the sinus infection and pluracy) and while it is helping the collitus some, it's not where they want it to be.  They told her yesterday that they will hopefully send her home either today or tomorrow and while she won't be where they want her to be, they will continue to treat her at home and work towards getting it under control that way. They did finally allow her to start on some solid foods last night and she was very much looking forward to that.  She definitely had enough of mush.  I'll give her a call in a little while and see what's up.

So, Lu....I'm thinking August will be a year since we had our last Las Vegas weekend.  I'm thinking it's time we started to plan another weekend away.  What do you think?  And where should we go?  We could always do Vegas again.  Think about it.  We need to go away for a couple of days.  Maybe in July.  Let me know your thoughts on the subject.

OK, time to get back to work.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday.  Only 4 more days until the weekend. We can make it.

Over all I had a wonderful weekend. My son and his family came over for a while and then I watched the grand kids for about 1 1/2 hour so Chris and Lisa could go grocery shopping and go to Starbucks, just have some time together. Devan wants to do everything her brother does and Ryan tends to get upset. She wrecks his toys. She doesn't understand though. She loves her brother. After the rain stopped my DH BBQ me a steak. I ate some of it, but it did not sit well with me either. I don't know why. Just sometimes happens that way.
