Good Morning and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!

What a great a start to a great day. Its wonderful out side. Crisp and clean, makes me wish I had planned to walk today, but I didn't.
We are having a mother day pot luck at work today so DD made a jello thing for me last night. It looks good, but I will know more later, after the test drive. LOL

So what do you all have planned for Mothers day. How do you plan on spending it? What are you going to do for your mother?

Eileen.......some times you just need to sleep. That is how I was on Thursday. I had to force myself out of bed. Can you send your folks out my way so I can spoiled for a day? Share and share alike right my sister? lol Enjoy your time off and do NOT think of work. Happy Moms day!

Elizabeth.......how did it go working on the books? Any blood shed? My friend Cyndi use to do her husband books, now she pays for it to get done. LOL Guess it does cause a bit of stress in the family. I hope you have a wonderful mothersday!! Treat yourself to something nice for the dress barn.

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Happy Mother's Day to all women who lead by example, cuz that's what being a MOM is all about!  Have fun at your potluck today Lu.

Yes, I did get a new job, 15 mins from home and back in the public sector.  I am SOOO excited. I will be working for a school district overseeing their benefits, workers' comp and doing some generalist work in Human Resources.  But the best thing of all is I will be working for a fantastic woman who I have worked with before.  She will mentor me in her strong points, and I will mentor her in mine and we're going to make an awesome team.

Yesterday we planted 16 tomatoes, 7 different varieties!  Next weekend we'll plant the beans, peas and peppers and then we'll get the squashes and pumpkins going.  Whoo hoo, I love to work in the garden.

Today we're going to visit my father-in-law and then Ron, his mom and I will drive to SF, pick up my step mom and go to an early dinner for Mom's Day.

Good morning California and to you Lu...Moooooooooooo   LOL

Well it's looking pretty overcast outside right now.  I'm wondering if it's early June Gloom or were we supposed to have bad weather today.  Oh well, at least it's Sunday and I can stay home if I want to.

As for today, not sure what is going to happen today.  We were thinking about just staying home and doing nothing.  Then we thought about seeing what time my son gets off from work and going to have some Mother's Day Dinner with him.  Then Mike suggested we go see my sister because it's Mother's Day and she shouldn't be alone in the hospital on Mother's Day and being as her wonderful husband didn't go see her yesterday.....well I could go on and on about that one.  My brother in law is not high on my good people's list and he's creating my niece in his image.  But frankly I'm tired and all of that requires alot of driving and so I'm thinking that I will spend Mother's Day sitting right here where I am doing absolutely nothing.

Anyway, time to go get some coffee.  To all you other Mom's out there, have a wonderful day today.  Enjoy your families.

Goodmorning and Happy Mother's Day

It is kind of gloomy here this morning. Where did the sun go. I want him back. I have tons of things to do today. Clean the house, grocery store. Do some cooking. I'm going to make some banana bread/muffins today. I have to have some treats for the parents when they get here tomorrow. I got nothing done yesterday. Spent the day with friends out in the sun. It was great. I love lazy days like that. Not much else going on around here. I really should get off the couch, but I haven't had my coffee yet. I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day.

Well good news my DH is still my DH! Things went pretty good overall with the books. I just put data into the computer and he does all of the figuring and balancing. 

My youngest son has already called me this morning and we had a nice talk. DH stayed off the phone so we could talk. When he gets on the phone they start talking hunting and fishing and I get off so it was nice not to have DH HOG the conversation! LOL My other son and his family are supposed to come by sometime today. We don't really have any plans for the day. DH is going to BBQ a steak for dinner tonight. I looked to see what was playing at the movies and nothing interesting is here.
