Skin Removal

Does anyone know about donating skin to burn unit?

Someone posted about this way back and if I remember correctly, the burn units do not accept the skin and can't remember why, or the exact details.

Hope someone else can answer.

Someone said they won't accept it because our skin that is removed is all stretched out, no elasticity anymore.

There is an organization that does accept skin donations, you are not paid for it, but they will take it.  Ask your plastic surgeon as I do not remember the name of the organization.  I donated the skin from my butt lift 2 years ago to them.  I believe they had just started taking the skin donations at that time.
