Dare I say it...I have...a date!

I saw the post, but unfortunately I'm going to be going to Costa Mesa for the OH convention!  Darn, I just can't be in both places at once!

It's so good to be understood -- I've been having troubles with these kids near my neighborhood, too.  I just changed my time and walking route a few days ago -- so far so good.  I had a bit of a set-back about 2 weeks ago when the evil urchins were off for spring break -- something I totally forgot about.  Oh, that was a horrible day.  I finally got up the courage to start back walking a few days ago on my new route and, even though I'm still super self-conscious, it feels good to be moving again.

I hear you about all the sugar, white flour, rice, pasta, bread, etc.  I'm so grateful for OH and all of the wisdom I've heard from you gals (and guys) over the years.  I feel like things are slowly clicking inside of me in realizing what I need to let go of in order to help my tool do its best.  I'm up to 48 ounces of water per day -- I think you're so right about the thirst-hunger connection.  Believe it or not, I've also begun to brush my teeth when I feel a major hunger/binge craving starting to kick up and it sort of helps.  The taste of the toothpaste and mouthwash in my mouth really seems to help interrupt the craving (at least for now).  Thanks so much for your encouragement ♥♥♥♥♥♥

I had my surgery on April 6 at Alta Bates by Dr Upadehay(sp).  The staff there is great and I had great care.  My PCP said that the Alta Bates program was the best, even better than Stanford or UCSF.  I know it is disappointing not to get the surgery you planned, but I think you will be happy with the results.  You are in good hands.

I'm so glad to hear you had a great experience at Alta Bates.  It's so awesome that some members of their team have also had wls.  Helen has been incredible.

Kami, I am truly sorry that you are unable to get the operation you wanted, but glad that you will be able to have wls and improve your health. Best wishes to you!

Hi Becky!  It's so good to hear from you.  I sent you an ecard to let you know what was going on but I sent it to your old cox.net address.  I'll update your new addy.  I did have Facebook, but I'm actually taking a break from it right now because I've been contacted by a string of real sleazebags from my past and I'm tired.  It's been kicking up all kinds of old grief and plain old negative sh*t.  I'll definitely let you know if I do go back to it.   I'd love to see you guys whenever you do come back.   Thank you for the happy dance -- I'll try to call you tomorrow
