I had RNY just over 2 weeks ago and I have no experience with pregnancy after WLS. However I had my first and only child at age 44--came back from Hawaiian vacation with a little souvenir, if you get my drift. I weighed 245 at the time and my MD sent me to a high risk OB practice which should be a consideration for you. My MDs goal was for me to maintain my weight through out pregnancy.
By practicing what I know you must already know, I did maintain and delivered a healthy full term baby girl WITHOUT a c-section which they had told me to anticipate.
Best wishes and peace to you!

I just wanted to say congrats to you!! My husband is wanting one more. We have 3 kids, one is mine and two are with him. We have been talking about it. I told him that if it happens it will happen. It is in god's hands. I am 38 and had my last baby at 34. I am just so happy for you. What a wonderful blessing!
Hugs,

your story sounds a bit like how mine will be. I go to the same dr's as you - Dr. Sanchez, and I'm getting my lapband done wednesday 4/28/2010. My hubby is on prison and won't get out until June 2011 and we want to have kids then, but I'll be 39 when we start trying. Dr Sanchez told me he would totally work with me and if I needed my band losened for more nutrients, he would and if I want it revised afterwards to the sleeve he would do so. (I'm a medicare pt who insurance hasn't figured out how to pay for the procedure yet, but thinks it is a great one)
