Any Sacramento People?

Hi there, I am in Sacramento area and having sleeve surgery on 4/26 with Kaiser in Richmond.  I am pretty excited and reading posts on this site has answered lots of questions.  What's your status?

Hi Ali!  Welcome to the Cali gang and congrats on your surgery later this month.  As Lee stated, I'm a Richmond Kaiser gal myself, Dr Park, RNY a year ago March of 2009.

If you've got the time, come on over to Elk Grove Kaiser tomorrow nite (Monday) at 7pm. We meet every Monday nite starting at 7pm and go to around 8-8:30pm.

We have a great support group, mostly but not all Kaiser patients (several from Dr Waldrup out of Roseville). We welcome pre and post surgery people and have newbies to those who are a couple years post op.  Plenty of support and advice to go around.  Kaiser is right off Hwy 99 on Big Horn Blvd. PM me if your interested.

Hi Sunray,

Congrats on all your weight loss, I was looking at your before and after pics and you look fantastic! 

I work Monday nights so I am unable to come to EG Kaiser which is a bummer.  I go to the point west meeting the 4th Sat of each month and it would be nice to go more often than 1 time a month.  They may be starting a group meeting at Kaiser Roseville which will be great to have the additional meeting option.

I have my pre-op apt on Wednesday with Dr Park so cross your fingers that all goes well!

Sorry to hear you can't make the Monday meeting; we had a good group last nite and several good topics to discuss.  MedCenter on Stockton Blvd were listed as having meetings but I don't know if they still do; I looked into them over a year ago.  Also, Sutter has meetings but don't know times or places..
Good luck tomorrow on your pre-op with Dr Park.  I'm sure you'll be all set to go.  Hope to hear more from you.

I live in Roseville.  I am like Kat.  I had my surgery with Dr Jenkins out of Auburn.  I am 3 1/2 weeks post op. 

Don't be nervous.  It will be the best thing you ever do for yourself.
