Happy Saturday Morning

Good Morning Calif......

Its Saturday Morning and I woke up early. I think its because I slept in yesterday. But I have coffee and my morning is looking good already. LOL

Yesterday DD's friend came over and they where up talking until around 2 this morning, I could hear them and kept waking up. I think the only reason he left was because I walked out there and ask them to move the party to HIS HOUSE. I need to sleep as I am the only one working. He went home, but DD stayed up watching TV until 3 UGH!!! So I didn't get much sleep last night and I have to work today. This is not fair.

Kim...........Hi ya! I have my stuff ready for my garden, just have not gotten around to do much after that. Now that DD is home, she can work on it. I will make sure she starts that. What do you have planned this weekend?

Steph.......I am off on the tuesday the 27 as of right now. So I could go, if you really don't mind. Any where would be fun. Boboa Inland is neat also, but its a LOT of walking. mostly up hill. But its not an all day thing.

Elizabeth.......WOW having to go shopping two day in a roll. What a hardship you had to deal with. I once read that you should not give the "other" child anything, that then expect that all the time. That you can take them for a special "date" or something, but no gifts. But then, mom and dad use to do that and they had 12 grandbabie and they would get some thing small for all of them. Have a great weekend.

Gus..........how was your friday night? And what do you have planned for the rest of the weekend?

Eileen.........I don't mind working the weekends. That means that all the 300 bosses are not running around trying to out do each other. But I wish I didn't have to work them. I would love a monday thru friday type of job. Or just put us back on 8 hours. I have the 12. I hope you are feeling better.

I have support group this morning, can't wait to see everyone.  Shopping with my mother-in-law and step mom this afternoon.  That's about it.  Sort of waiting for rain later on tonight and then tomorrow.

Good Afternoon Lu and Barb and everyone else.

Well Lu part of the fun of being a grandparent is spoiling the grandkids. My neighbor reminds my husband of this whenever he complains! LOL

This morning I walked and jogged to their house and watched them for their parents to take a walk/jog together. That is the first time I added jogging to my walking. I did little spurts of jogging.
Boy did I feel my heart rate go up. No I am not interested in running a marathon! LOL They live 2.3 miles from my house.

The rain clouds are coming in. It is not supposed to rain until tomorrow night but I would not be surprised if it came in early.

I'm being so lazy today. Vegging on the couch watching tv. I so wish I didn't have this cold. I did go to the support group meeting this morning. It was good, haven't been in a few months. Not much else planned for today. I work again tomorrow. Already have the laundry done, but I guess I should get up off my ass and take it out of the dryer.

Lu, I have to agree with you on working the weekend and there being less people/management around. I do like working 12's though. It is all I have ever worked, so I'm very used to them.

Well, I hope you all have a great weekend. I think I might go and take a nap.

COOL BEANS you are off the 27th and YES, would love to have you join me and Linda for the day. As for Balboa, I don't think that is a good thing for me right now.  My back is really bad at the moment and while I'm better then I was (not using a cane or my little motorized cart) too much walking does me in.  I do think Solvang, though sounds like a good idea.  It's a good amount of walking, but not as much as something like Balboa.  Plus I haven't been to Solvang in probably 30 years.  It would be nice to visit there again.  I'll know more though about what/where, when Bob and Linda get here.  I need to find out more what she would want to do.  I want her to make the decision.  You and I will just be along for the ride.  LOL  But I'm glad you are going to "ride" along with us.  It will make it that much more fun a day.  I will definitely keep you posted after they get here on the 20th.

So this has been a busy and expensive day for us.  One of our kitties must have been in a fight outside and developed an abscess on his kneck.  It was huge.  Had to bring him to the vet this morning and they had to operate.  He's home now, but not a very happy kitty. Plus he has a drain in his neck that we have to irrigate twice a day.  And now we have to keep him in the house for 2 weeks and he's just not used to that.  He likes to go outside.  My poor little Minky.  He's got one of those cones around his head too. 

Oh well, time to make some dinner.  Making little chedder bacon sliders.  I hope they come out good.  Talk to you soon.
