WWW Totals for 4/7/10

Good Morning Everyone

Just a quick post.  The totals for the week are 6.10 lbs lost.

We are doing it folks.  Some weeks better than others but just the same, we are getting it done.

This WWW seems to have really died along with daily posts.  I believe Facebook has consumed many of us and just lurk around on the OH Cali Board from time to time now. 

It is nice though to see some of the old timers like Gus still posting on a daily basis.  I hope to one day be an old timer myself and have words of inspiration and encouragement just like those that continue to post daily.

How are things with Mom?  Hope you get some good news.  It is hard to understand the decisions our parents make, but sometimes we just have to accept their decisions regardless of how we feel.  Praying for you and your family to get through this rough journey you facing.

I miss the old timers too. I used to be on facebook but I really did not like it that much so I cancelled my membership or whatever they call it.

Hi Elizabeth (I have a sister named Elizabeth).  I love her to death.

As for work I am not crazy busy at the moment, but always busy none the less.  The owners decided not to sell the business after 1 1/2 hrs. of farting around with a potential buyer.  The other company basically wanted the business to be given to them.  So, the owners will retire and come in maybe 1 or  2 days for a few hours and the Estimator, General Foreman and Myself will run the business for them.  It will add more work to my plate but that's ok.  I get to stay local 7 miles to work and not worry about having to drive to Corona which would take me 1 - 1 1/2 hrs. each way depending on traffic, possibly longer.

We will begin a $5,000,000. project in the next 2 weeks and then I will be busy.  I have to babysite the Estimator who is the project manager and my billing clerk is dumber than a rock.  So I do lot's of editing, correcting, blah, blah, blah.  But, I have my job, I really like my employers, come and go as I please, and make a good hourly wage.  Now if we can just negotiate the new wage once they start taking the time off.  I am the Corporate Secretary as well and there is nothing in that office or with that business that goes on which I am not aware of. 

As for Facebook, I play many farming games.  What I truly enjoy is being able to connect with many friends and family that I don't see be every 4-5 years.  Some I have not seen or even talked with in close to 30 years.  Getting to know them all over again is fabulous.  My family is in New Mexico with the exception of an Uncle that lives fairly close but I see him more when I am in NM that here in CA.

Thanks for the results Annette. I'm not an old-timer but I used to read every word on the Boards daily. I do spend my time on Facebook now because I got tired of all the fights on OH. I usually glance here quickly now and may read one or two posts. I do miss a lot of folks, but I don't miss the fights.

Anyway, still hanging... [in more ways that one!]

I also am not an old timer.  If you read my reply to Elizabeth you will see my reason for hanging out on facebook.

I try to read the boards everyday even if I do not post, but I am able to keep up with the happenings. 

As for the fights or mis-understandings, I do not get involved.  I read and laugh.  If it gets too ugly and I don't like what I am reading I just remove that person from my friends list.  WLS patients need to stay positive so that they can stay on the right track.  Me personally, I stay away from negativity in my personal & professional life.  It makes for a much happier ME.

Keep hanging in there.  I am sure the CA board will get busy again soon.  For now enjoy the peacefulness.
