Lose it by moving it
Hey Exercisers,
I am still injured with an angry quad. It still gets cranky when I walk up a flight of stairs so I am still resting it until I feel no more pain.
I am doing upper body weights and this might sounds goofy, but I am in my car commuting 2 hours per day round trip. When I am in a traffic jam, I grab my water bottle (like a weight) and do arm exercises in the car. I am sure I look like a FREAK to the other drivers, and I am not even sure I am doing much good, but I do feel some burn. Instead of munching over the anxiety of driving, I am moving around.

Hi MsBlues! and yea.. you probably look like a FREAK to other drivers.. but who cares! At least you are moving and moving is always a good thing!!! Remember those squeezy things that would build arm muscles.. kinda the same thing. Good for you not letting anything get in your way. I'm glad you are feeling better!!! BIG HUGS! I know you have an awful lot on your plate, and you've been in my prayers though you didn't know it because I was too busy, lazy, didn't know what to say to post anything. Nevertheless... Hang in there. And with everything going on be sure to put yourself up at the top of your list where you belong... K? Sweetie!!!
In my neighborhood... I've been off and on busy at work this week, its either crazy or quiet.. .not much in between. When its quiet, I walk the halls of the building (do laps) because its hard to sit still all day. Monday, Tuesday and this morning I was at the YMCA at 530 a.m. and swam a mile each morning. 4 miles this week is my goal and im going to surpass it if I have anything to say about it. Then I did this thing with myself.. oh no don't surpass it this week, add more next week.. then I thought oh that is the old wrong thinking.. GO FOR IT GIRL!!! and that's what I am doing. Next week I will make my goal even harder to push myself more! I want to lose this 11 or 12 lbs and enter Onederland by May 1. I may or may not get there.. but nonetheless I am going to give it all I've got trying!!!
I' really focused on vacation coming up... 23 days and counting til this Southern Belle at Heart heads to the beach in South Carolina for some fun in the sun! The sunshine here is wonderful though and I am loving every bit of it for sure!
