Had surgery Friday and home today, feel great
I am I guess, 4 days out and feel great. Never thought 3 ounces of liquid could make me so full!
Only took pain meds for the first day and think I will go back to work this Thursday. Was kind of jealous of everyone turning in their workman's comp and disability papers! For me, no work, no pay, But I feel good and going back.
Does day 5 and 6 get easier or harder?

Congrats!!! Everyday will get easier, sounds like you got it under control...I'd keep the pain meds close by though.
Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Congrats on your surgery.
Glad you are going back to work so soon but make sure you are ready for that. I found that I could have gone back 3-4 days after surgery but I chose to stay home for the 3 weeks of liquid diet. This was a blessing in disguise as I found myself to be tired very easy and was able to nap. Also, liquid in, liquid out.
You should be able to collect disability unless you do not pay into the program.
It does get easier as time goes on. Do no push yourself too hard and if you find that you can't work the full day, maybe let your employers that you can only do 1/2 day until you feel completely recovered.
Best of luck to you on your new life journey.

Thanks for the info, I only have two weeks of work left! I own an income tax office here in Ontario, I am the primary partner, so no rest for the weary..I waited so long for my date that I took it when they finally offered the 26th. I figure I have from April 15th till next year to rest! lol I am just going to go in for like 6 hours instead of 12 though. I noticed a slept alot yesterday and the bed feels sooooo good after the hopsital one.
congrats on your surgery! I hope that you continue to feel great! I have to say for me though the second week was the worst, the tiredness caught up with me, and then I had some muscle pain that didnt start until the second week. Just be careful and make sure you take time to heal, you know your body better than anyone else!

Congratulations on your surgery! Each day gets easier..unless you overdo! If you feel you have the energy, 6hrs should work but then go home and do nothing! Take the rest of the day to rest but don't forget to walk...that will help the healing process so much. And in addition to having your liquids with you, make sure you are getting all of your vitamins in daily. I'm really happy for you that you are feeling so good...just treat yourself right and you'll keep feeling great LOL
