Tomorrow is my consultation with Dr. Paya!
Although I do not know Dr. Paya, I do want to say congrats and good luck on your upcoming WLS journey.

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!
We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they
ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Tarin,
Dr. Paya is also my doctor although I had my surgery at West Hills Hospital. I think you will really like him.
I am pretty sure it took less than a month to get my surgery date-closer to two weeks but I don't remember for sure. It depends on your insurance as well. Because of scheduling problems on my part, it took a couple months after that to actually get a date. Like I said though, that was due to me getting time from work.
Good luck today and stay in touch. If you have any questions just ask.

Dr. Paya was extremely nice, and we talked and then I asked him after I meet with the nutritionist and take the psych eval how long would it take to get my surgery date. I told him I was extremely ready to go. (I have a whole shelf in the pantry dedicated just for me with my vitamins and protiens and little containers and everything). He said, we can expidite it, then said "Follow me". He took me up front and told the nurse that I would like my surgery dates expidited, so I have my nutritionist visit in two days, and I have to fax back my psych eval. The psychologist will call me for a visit over the phone I guess. EEEEKK! I can't wait to be able to keep up with my 4 year old!
