Oh you are so sweet :) I know it isn't fair to be mean to someone who isn't completely there at the time. I do think she is mad at me now since I did complain and ask for a new doctor. Hopefully she doesnt hold it against me and refers me to a different doctor soon.

Hi Nathalie.  I am sorry to hear about yesterday's GI appointment.
I had surgery August 2007 and in November 2007 I went to emergency because I just couldn't drink or eat.  The ER doctor admitted me and I was severly dehydrated.  I was admitted for dehydration.  The next morning I was dialated due to a stricture.  After this episode, I finally got a GI doctor.  She had to do two more dialations in December 07 and March 08.  She is compassionate and does not make you feel, in any way, that it is your fault!  Matter of fact, I saw her again towards the middle of 2008 because I thought I had another stricture and she went down the throat and looked and all was fine. Are you Kaiser?

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Yeah I have kaiser. I had my first 2 dilations in San Diego since It was less than 30 days and Dr. Taller was able to readmit me into Scripps Mercy. And let me tell you the GI staff at Scripps Mercy is great. This was my first dilation outside of there. I went to Fontana and Dr. Taller actually spoke to my primary care doctor so that everything could be relayed to the GI doctor of what needed to be done. I guess this GI doctor was just against the surgery and this was kinda a "ha see what you get" kinda thing.

I am supposed to get assigned to a new doctor so hopefully it will be one who at least keeps their mouth shut if they dont like the choice of surgery and just does their job.

Nathalie,

Sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time.  You did the right thing by switching doctors.
