BEST OF LUCK TO..................

Hello Everyone,

Let's give a BIG SHOUT OUT and wish our runners in the LA Marathon this weekend to best of luck on their run.  Those that are participating that I know of are:

Monica P.
Kirsten S.
Lena A.

You ladies rock.  I have been tracking you here on OH and on FB and you will have a blast.  Wish running was my thing but it's not.  Last time I was at the LA Marathon was 1987 when my husband ran the WHOLE thing.  He finished  in over 4 hours, but he finished.

I know Kirsten has an injury and I am hoping that it will not bother her and let her finish without pain or further injury.  Monica and Lena are going to be right there with you to guide you on your way.  I am sure that Monica will have a CHANCLA hiding someplace if Kirsten decides to slow it down and plenty of lip gloss for you ladies at the finish line.

I personally want to congratulate you on all your hard training, and actually doing the run and finishing as I know you all will.  For those that are going to cheer them on posters are a big plus so they can actually see you on the sidelines.

KIMMIE -    OMG, did I forget you?  Are you running the marathon as well?  If you are, I am so sorry that I forgot to mention you but you know that if you are running in the marathon you are in my prayers as well and I am also wishing you the best on your race. 

You might want to stick with Monica, she has plenty of lip gloss and I thought I read someplace if she sees a cute guy in the crowd she just might take a detour.  If she does, be sure to get her lip gloss so you ladies can smile pretty at the finish line with your medals.

I was supposed to run the marathon, but decided against it due to being undertrained.  I ended up selling my bib Monday evening.

I will still need the prayers as I will have to get through the city via public transportation to see Kirsten.

Thanks so much for the good wishes.  I've got some special people (my "curb crew)  that will meet me throughout the course and cheer me on.....as well as Monica P who is going to meet me around mile 20 and run a few miles with me (she better not spill my rum!).   Part of me is really excited.....but part of me is very scared because I don't know how my ankle will hold up. 

Don't forget about Brian from the Bay Area.  He is heading down early tomorrow morning and will be running too!

A BIG THANK YOU to all that supported me and APLA with your generous donations and volunteer hours.  Thanks to you all....I raised over $1800.00 for APLA!

Kirsten, don't push too hard sweetie!!! Finish, but don't hurt your ankle more than you have to!!!!
