I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. It is such a difficult situation for your family to be in. A situation I have been in many times as a nurse. I am glad your trip up here to the Bay Area went well. Sounds like you all had a great time. Hopefully if you do end up here going to school, we will get to meet sometime. If you need anything just let me know.

Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers. You are so correct that it is a difficult situation. One we don't like to think about, but some how sooner or later, it is thrust upon us. I have a lot of respect for those of you in the medical field that see this many times. And no matter how many times you do, each one is such a hard loss for someone.
I look forward to meeting you, as well. I will be equally blessed to be able to know our So Cal family as well as our Nor Cal family. Thank you so much for your support.

Morning Lu and Cali gang
Been hit and miss here posting over the past 2 weeks..this head cold has really messed up my schedule.  Stay up wayyyyy too late and then drag my sorry @#$% all day long.  Cold meds I've been taking work just the opposite of what I expected...day time formula...but it doesn't allow me to get drowsy at nite..thus staying up wayyy too long.  6am still arrives at 6am..what's with that?! LOL

Tomorrow is my 1 year surgiversary (like I haven't posted that all over the place already LOL) and I am soooo darn proud of myself!  Way back when  I was really fearful this journey would become another half-baked success or a total failure.  I was and am so impressed with all the stories told here, I just wanted to be one of them!  If you're interested, and have a chance, pop over to my profile..I put new before and after pics...I need something to remind me of where I started! ;-)

This week is going to be awesome...70's and the sun shining all week.  Going to be real tempting to take out the scooter and ride after work.  Saturday is our No Cali lun*****oncord; I always enjoy that!  Maybe I can get Lon to ride the scooters over...then we can take a leisurely ride along the Sacramento River to come home.  I also hope to stop by my son's in Woodland; grandson turns 5 in a couple of weeks and I want to drop off his b/day present.  And, of course, check how Brianna is doing since she got out of the hospital last month.

That's it for me...another routine week of work and relaxing.  And so thankful I don't live back east...the storms are hitting them again!! :-(  Have a great day and week Calif's...we have the best weather to be found anywhere! ^_^

Hi all,

Here is another Monday. SIGH!

Last week was so busy, I didn't have time to post much on OH. I had very early wake up times and barely was home before 8 pm everyday. I had no time for exercise and instead just felt burnt out. This week won't be as hectic, but still not a cake walk. I am very thankful I had my weekend to myself.

My hubby also came home yesterday after visiting his father for 5 days. His dad is recovering surprisingly well from having a heart attack and pneumonia. For several days it was believed he wouldn't survive the trauma to his body.  We're all thankful he's with us still.

My mom believes she may have a new tumor, but her surgeon thinks it might just be scar tissue. The jury is still out on what's going on. After a battery of tests we'll have more of an idea what her cancer is up to. UGH!

I hope Monday isn't too manic for all of you!

Good Afternoon All,

 I am slaving away at work, and counting down the mintues till I am done(41/2 hours). It is way to  nice to be stuck at work, and today it doesn't help, that my patients have big HUGE windows, so I can see the blue sky, green grass, and the trees blowing in the breeze. I think I prefer when I don't have a window to look out of.
   I had a good Sunday. Sat out on my deck with a friend for hours. It was so nice out, and I didn't think the sun would be that hot, and didn't put any sunscreen on(I don't have any actually) and I burnt my arms. It isn't to bad, but I know better. I am very fair skinned and usually use SPF 50. Not much else going on around here. I am off tomorrow and Wednesday and can't wait. I hope you all have a great day, and don't work to hard.
