support groups

Hi

I am in the Bariatric program in Fremont, CA .  I need to find support groups in my area; I live in Milpitas.  Please let me know when and where or how I can find them.

HI Grisel...I just love seeing new people post ^_^  You should be hearing from Barb and Delores soon.  Both live over in your area. We hold a lunch once a month meeting at CoCo's in Concond. In fact, we meet up next week!  Everyone is welcome...great place to put faces with names and have fun. 

Just curious...which program in Fremont? Kaiser by chance? I was in Kaiser's program over in Richmond.  OH, especially the Cali forum, is a great place to get advice, support and encouragement. Hope to see you post often ^_^

Hi Grisel,

I live in Concord, and not too sure which support groups are in Fremont/Milpitas but as Nancy said, we have a wonderful luncheon next Sat and each month and we'd love to have you join us for friendship and support.  I go to a support group meeting at John Muir Walnut Creek on the 2nd Sat of each month and whether or not you had your surgery there, everyone is welcome.  It's usually a great group and wonderful leader.

Hi Grisel,

Not sure what program you're in. I am in the Kaiser Richmond program.  They have a support group on the first and third Wednesday of every month.  The support group luncheon that Barb mentioned is a great way to meet people!
