Good morning California

Today I am starting the 5 day pouch test. I had my Gastric Bypass in October of 06 and I feel like I am out of control . I eat eat and eat even if I am not hungry, just like I did before my procedure. Even though I have only gained about 6 pounds I know that the rest can creep on real quick. I seem to go up and down quite often, the most I have gained back is 20 but managed to get it off.  Anyhow, I am excited, I know it is not going to be easy but I need to get back on track and maybe have my pouch shrink back some, I know it wont get as small as it was in the begining but that is ok.

Anyone want to join me in this adventure? I also wonder if anyone on here has done this already and how did it work out for you.

My goal is as mentioned above but in addition I would like to lose the 6 pounds I have gained back plus and additional 20 to take me where my doctor said I should be.  I may repeat this or do it longer depending on how this first five days go. I also re-joined the gym.....Whooo hoooo I feel motivated!

ANYONE IN SAN DIEGO????????????????????????????

Good for you! I'm glad you've realized what you've been doing and you're getting back on track!  Yes, exercise! exercise! is key to the success of our WLS journey!....

I also had surgery in 2006 and believe me, I CAN EAT! Not much at one time but I can cheat in between meals.  I have not done the 5 day pouch test but I know my pouch works.  Today, I eat about 250-300 cal every 3 hours and that gets me through the day.  There's no way on earth I can eat 3 small meals in one day.

I exercise about 5-6 times a week and concentrate on cardio.  Good luck with you continuing your journey and come back and let us know your progress!

Thank you Gus I really appreciate your feedback. Support is always so very helpful. I will come back in the 5 days and update everyone. Maybe it will motivate someone to try it out. Yes exersize is very important and I have to admit I have not been working out since july 09 and also took up a nice little drinking habit. I just told myself this has got to stop! So here I am hoping for support and feedback. So thank you!
