OT-- help and prayers needed please.
Hi my Cali friends and family,
Boy, when stress decides to come into my life, it really does. As many of you are aware, I had an emergency appendectomy 2 weeks ago. As a result of my husband calling in to be there for my surgery, he was let go. So we are dealing with the hoops that unemployment is making us jump through. Then yesterday, I recieved some horrible news. My cousin, who turns 45 today, had a massive heart attack. He is on life support. They only give him a 15% chance of making it. Each day that number continues to decline. The top of his brain has no activity at all. The lower part of his brain does have activity.
I am so stressed. We went to see him in the hospital today. I saw family today, that I hadn't seen in 11 years. My dad's side of the family blamed us for his death from cancer, 11 years ago on March 27th. I know we are asking for a miracle with my cousin, but I sure would appreciate if you could all add him to your thoughts and prayers, along with my husband so he can find a job.
I, will be ok, once everybody else is ok. I do find myself, looking for comfort food to soothe my frayed nerves. I am just trying to be strong for all involved and heal from my recent surgery.
Thank you for all that you do and for your thoughts and prayers.
Huge hugs,
Michelle T.

You certainly have our prayers and support through the difficult times. We are your support, not food. I have not been able to work since August of 2008 and certainly understand what your husband is going through. It is unconscionable that an employer would not support it's workers through medical emergencies and honor the value of supporting their staff and their families.
Many hugs and prayers,
Linda
