OT: Tomorrow has finally arrived UPDATE
Hi Everyone,
Well for those of you that are familiar the company let's call them Company B, that is planning on buying the company I currently work for Company A is finally moving their feet after over a year. There will be 5 people from company B in my office tomorrow to interview me and 2 other key employees.
I am hoping this is just an informal interview to see if we can get along, what my plans are, how long I plan to continue working there etc..
Regardless I am asking that you keep good thoughts that the interview goes well. I have never had to interview to keep my job. There is a first for everything. I am confident all will go well but I am will be meeting with Company B's President, Vice President (who will be the new boss), accountant, and attorney.
I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks for your well wishes in advance
Annette
Well, the guys from Company B were here and have left. All 4 of them. This was a very informal meeting with some general questions on Payroll, A/P, Union reports, etc... No formal interview was done. The 4 gentlemen that came in individually asked many questions for 3 hours. If the buyout goes through I am confident I will keep my job, and a comment was made to me and the General Foreman that I could actually help out one of their guys in the Corona office. I may have to go to Corona a couple days a week which is fine as they have a nice modern office -vs- the little old run down house we currently operate out of. LOL
Thank you all for your well wishes, prayers and thoughts. When the time comes that the buyout takes place I will let you know the results. Now the men that came today were all very nice, well mannered, positive, good sense of humor and good looking to boot. I may actually like this a lot more than I think. LOL They are a laid back kind of company with no big pressure unless there is a crunch deadline then you just got to get it done kind of attitude.
Well, thanks again.

HUGS! It sucks. But I've been there. You've probably already done your interview, but I'm sending good vibes your direction anyway.
I had to interview for my job in 2001. My old company had lost a contract and the new contractor wasn't hiring everyone from the old contract.
Now my job is being insourced to the government.
I don't even get an interview. I applied in December. Some people are already getting new jobs. And I am completely freaked out.
We'll both be fine. Try to stay positive.
