Campout Poll and stuff Read me Please

I agree with location issues.  The problem is that for example last year we went out and scouted beach locations.  Booking them was another story,  we were online 30 min before the reservations opened and couldn't even get one spot.  I will look into KOA's .  A large group spot would be great too.  We tried for the one at San Clemente Last year too.  We always resort to silverwood cause that is the  ol standby when there is no chance of spots available anywhere else. These things book up fast often a year in advance.  It is difficult doing this when most folks really arent ready to plan 6 months to a year in advance  I used to book extra spots myself and "rent them" to those who decided later to come.  I lost alot of money that way and frankly just cannot afford to do that anymore.   I am so open to moving locations.  I guess I need to try harder to find other options.  xoxox miss ya too  :D

Well it doesn't need to be a beach location.  It could be an "off the beaten path" kind of place.  Just a place with the amenities to attract people. I'm just suggesting a KOA because the options at one of those campgrounds are better.  As I said they have tent, RV and Kozy Kabin options, pools, stores, activities and just not as large and spread out as Silverwood so that even if everyone was scattered throughout the campgrounds, the facilities aren't that large, that getting together with everyone would be a problem. 

Anyway, you still do a good job of putting this together every year and I would not stress yourself about it.  You enjoy going there and whoever wants to join you, great.  And if not, you still have your nice camping holiday every year that works for you. And in the end, my friend, that is what should matter.  This is your vacation.  Do what makes you happy.  If people want to join you, then they should be mature and responsible enough to make their own reservations themselves.  It shouldn't be on your shoulders to have to worry about what everyone else is doing.  They don't/can't make their plans 6 months in advance, well then they run the risk of not going if they want to.  Their problem....not yours.

Indeed.   I guess I am just on a mission to recreate the days of Old.  LOL.  Im not really stressing either , I was just trying to get some input, on options.  which has all been great by the way.  And I do look forward to MY Vaca every year.   Thanks Honey
